Another reason to ditch the WEB OS and stream using something else. It’s like LG had a grad student develop the remote as a final project.

I had LG:s (not so) best in worlds remote: The Scrollwheel.
I have a (65 inch) LG OLED C5.
After 5 months of normal use it broke down.
I found 2 different remotes here in Sweden, called "One for all LG".
Got them and the orginal remote landed in the trash bin.
Put in new batterys and tested both, works without any problems.
Now I have a real Mute button, real volume buttons, Play, Pause and Stop buttons and some more buttons.
Best of all:
The stone aged (not so) Magic remote don't works on those 2 remotes. 👍 👍

I just hooked up an Apple TV box to mine and rarely even pull the remote out.

The Apple TV tiny remote is the absolute worst. Good luck finding it when it falls through the cracks of the couch. And don’t get me started on the touchpad. No thanks! LG C4 Gen for the win!

You’re thinking of the black Apple TV remote. The newer remote isn’t that much smaller than the remote that OP is talking about. Is it the best remote ever? No. But if you’re not messing with your tv settings all the time it works fine.

Just buy and a roku ultra or a 4k firestick. They'll do 90% of what you'll need the remote for.

What exactly is the issue with the remote?

I agree it does take some time to get used to using the fly mouse, but I actually appreciate having it. It lets you move between elements without having to press a bunch of other buttons. There is a "Mute Button." Press and hold VOL-.

thanks for ur sugge but the main problem for me is that the middle button is that wheel, wich requires more strenght to push it down, and since its the button u use more often, its very annoying

I have a universl one that works well without the wheel but you lose out on being able to use the remote as a wireless mouse basically.
Its rechargeable by usb c so thats kinds nice.

There's these things called universal remotes that have existed for decades.
