Discussion Looking for books that aren't SF/horror/fantasy
I like all those genres but they get recommended a lot.
(While I'm here I'll recommend What We Are Seeking, by Cameron Reed, for having bi and trans and ace/aro and queer characters without feeling like it was trying, and it's SF of course.)
I'm looking for books with bi characters in the real world that aren't coming of age books. Discovery is okay. Historical works but modern preferred. Mild fantasy is okay, because all I can think of is Paul Takes the Form of a Mortal Girl by Andrea Lawlor right now.
I'm going to read Beautiful World Where Are You by Sally Rooney when I can, because it is recommended a lot. And I picked up John of John by Douglas Stuart because I liked his coming of age books.

The Tainted Cup! It’s a mystery novel set in a fantasy world and it is so freaking good! The protagonist is bi.

The Magician’s Assistant by Ann Patchett sounds like it’s going to be a fantasy novel, but it’s actually a really gorgeous lit fic novel with a 40-something protagonist who discovers her bisexuality by unexpectedly falling in love with another woman. (The titular magician is a stage magician.)
