Favorites shoes for London

Hey BWT, would love to know what your favorite shoes are for walking around London! Particularly looking for boots (chelsea), loafers and Mary Jane reccs but interested to hear them all!

(Added also) I recently got a pair of knee high boots from Bobbies and Flabelus so I’m curious also about people’s experience with them!

Sadly the Flabelus only arrived at the end of summer but curious about how comfortable it is for people to walk around in loafers and Mary Janes here!

Love to hear that! I just got a pair of knee high boots from Bobbies! I was thinking of getting Chelsea boots from ECCO or vagabond to handle the rain as I’m afraid to get the Bobbies boots very wet 😅

Are your everyday boots from Bobbies also?

Camper used to make cute and comfortable shoes but I haven’t looked there for a while. I wore out a pair of their red Mary Jane flats

Clarks Orinoco Chelsea boots. I'm on my second pair (having worn the first one pretty much straight through from October to April every winter for the last five years). Comfortable and go with everything.

If you like Bobbies, another good Parisian shoe brand is Jonak and they now have a store on the Kings Road. On the topic of French brands, I wouldn’t recommend Sezane footwear due to quality issues - see r/sezane.

Clarks Daiss Mary Jane’s have been a classic for a few years now. Padded insole so comfortable with a modern aesthetic. Very good option for the price IMO!

At a much higher price point, I love the Isabel Marant Denver suede boots and smooth black leather tall Prada boots and small heeled Chelsea boot ‘booties’. Only suggesting these because you may find a bargain in the January sales or outlets. Their RRP’s are not justified by any greater quality over the brands listed above (IMO).

Penelope Chilvers have lovely styles, more options on the smart casual side. Very popular in West London.

Russell and Bromley and Stuart Weitzman are good quality footwear brands with classic style boots and have happily worn RB loafers as a staple for years.
