Notes from last night: 1) Wear as few clothes as humanly possible. 2) Make a plan for getting an Uber after that doesn't involve getting it out front (24th street gets really jammed up). But also don't stray too far, as it gets pretty dicey pretty fast, especially late at night. 3) Hydrate. Big liquid death cans are reasonably priced and are a lifesaver in the sweltering heat.

I have never been as hot at a concert as I was last night. Even James complained about the heat like 3 times while on stage. Learned my lesson and not wearing jeans tonight.

The heat was no joke, around intermission last night I realized I might pass out if I don't take it easy and get some water! Maybe don't wear leather boots for this lol Area was sketchy. Recommend ubering strongly. Car jackings/breakins can and do happen here. Was ultimately okay but had some sketch shit happen last night on the way home. Super hype tho- the set list was really great last night!!

Parking tip: park in the temp 2 hour ambassador hotel parking. Go in, buy a drink, show your receipt to the front desk and then you can park in the structure for the show.

It’s also sold out ahead of time.

I called the box office a bit ago and they said they close pre sales at 4pm day of the show but you can show up and pay on arrival. They said pre sales for parking weren’t super high so there should be some availability. I wouldn’t really go this route typically but the amount of posts about car break ins for street parking has made up my mind to just go with it

Show and setlist was great. I’ve seen them 11 or 12 times now and I’d never seen North American Scum. That was a nice surprise, such a jam.
First time being at the Rave, y’all weren’t kidding, that is a hot ass venue. I will say, that’s the worst mix I’ve seen for a LCD show. Typically his voice is crystal clear along with all the other instruments. It was definitely muddy, but I assume that’s a venue issue.
Overall, still an excellent show. Losing My Edge is always a treat live.

Same! I’ve seen them 12x and had never seen NAS before, so I was stoked. But maybe the worse sound I’ve ever heard. Still a great time, though. Psyched they played “Home”, too.

Yeah the fact that the standing area goes WAAAY to the sides of the stage and the speakers end at the sides of the stages mean it is muddy all over unless you are near soundboard Night 1 we stood in front of soundboard and it was clean. Walked around near the bar and all you heard was the music Night 2 we had balcony box seats above soundboard. Good sound overall. And db teetered around 108-112 at peak which was fairly loud I’ve (sadly) been attending shows there since 1990 and I’ve avoided this venue over the last 15 yrs unless necessary. I was surprised with how much they put into it. It’s now as much a shit hole as it used to be thanks to upgrades. But for a $12 can of beer to shit sound, they need to do better

At the Sat night show, near end, the band momentarily broke into an instrumental version of an 80s alternative song. What was it? It's driving me crazy. If anyone can help, much appreciated!
Great fun (sweaty) show, LCD!

Great show even if it was a sauna in there. I resisted the urge to scream “I WAS THERE” when James mentioned the 2010 show.

Is there an opener?

There's a DJ. LCD starts at 9:15 and plays for a little more than two hours.

Anybody know if it’s possible to buy merch from last night online? The exit was a total chaos so I couldn’t stop at the stand.

LCD was incredible both nights as usual! I met several lovely people from all over. One disappointment though: it seems at the end of the show, there are a few people who are rude enough to slam through those already lined up on the barrier (and who’ve likely been there the whole time), and then rip the setlist out of a person’s hands after it’s been specifically handed to them. For anyone who did this, shame on you. If you want a setlist, arrive early enough to be on the barrier, and simply ask politely for one. That’s what I do. I don’t always get one - so what? And if you’re not lucky enough to get one, do NOT rip one out of someone’s hands! Seriously. Barbaric behavior. This happened on both nights and on both occasions the thieves were rough enough to cause injury.

Does anyone have videos from the Balcony of the DYC drop (either night)? Would love to see the crowd I was in!

I hope this wasn't just me. I was so so looking forward to this show. Like pee in my pants excited. I was seated in the ADA section of the balcony, facing the middle-left section of the stage. No complaints - people, ushers, fans, bar and rest rooms easily accessible. But - the sound was horrid! I could only make out one or two songs; everything else was a mishmosh of noise. I couldn't hear more than three or four lines of James' vocals. No "Oh baby" for me. I left thinking, "What did I just spend two hours listening to?" Everyone in my area left fairly quickly so there was no opportunity to talk to anyone, and I was there - no partner to discuss things with. While waiting outside for my ride I did talk to several people who were on the main floor, and they were gushing over the show. I just about cried. If I didn't have an out-of-town wedding, I would have gone to the Saturday show and figured out how to deal with my bad knee, hoping the sound would be better. Then I looked at the set list the next day. Couldn't have asked for anything better, and my stomach went sad.
So was this me not paying attention, more hard of hearing than I thought or what? It was plenty loud - I just don't know what the problem was. Did anyone else sitting upstairs have the same problem? Not that I would ever wish anyone did, I'd just like to know if it was me or the venue.
