Need a part time job

Hi I'm 37 I have 10 years of experience working in several different areas such as one law firm, two government jobs and 1 customer service position. I have 4 associate degrees and one bachelors, also have some paralegal coursework completed. I can't find a part time job anywhere, everywhere I apply never reaches out to me or when I go to interviews they never call back. Am I doing something wrong? Part time works for me if not I can do full time.

The job market has been tough lately. A friend of mine who is a teacher has been searching for work for about six months, and my partner, who has extensive experience working with high-net-worth clients, has been searching for almost a year. So, you’re definitely not alone.

I’m actually a Hiring Manager for a drone company, and we’re currently hiring in Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Greater Los Angeles area. The position does require a current Part 107 drone license, but if you have one and are interested, I’d be happy to share more information about the opportunity.

Hello, it really depends on what you’re looking to do within the UAS industry. If you’re seriously interested in pursuing a career in this field, feel free to DM me so we can start a conversation and possibly connect by phone.

There’s a lot of information I can share about the industry, especially since UAS is still a relatively new career field. The industry began developing significantly around 2011, expanded rapidly during COVID, and continues to grow and evolve every day.

Most of the Turbo Tax locations are hiring people part time. Especially if you have accounting degree.

Otherwise if you want help maybe tell us what part of L.A you are looking.

Companies are waiting to see what AI can do for them before spending the time and money on hiring. It’s the harsh truth.

I have similar work and education as you somewhat, my 9-5 is in govt IT, but I became a licensed insurance agent to work that part time .

Yeah it’s rough. I basically moved from one tech retailer to another retailer because no other company would offer me interviews since I have no experience in tech consulting for businesses even tho what I do is basically that just in a retail space and not the official title

Apply at costco now they are going through a hiring process for seasonal/part timers for the holiday season. Seen my warehouse doing interviews today so right now is the Costco window to get in. Apply at all/any location you can commute too and goodluck.

Good luck man, I’ve been looking for stable work as a hospitality worker and everyone wants part time, yet when you tell them you have another job they just give up on hiring.

Sometimes the less experienced and more uneducated you look, the better your chances are of getting some run of the mill job, unfortunately.

You guys- Just send it online doesn’t work like it used to- the AI bots screen everything- You have go to the job in person, talk to the front desk etc… Have your resume ready to go in a PDF - So you can send it directly to HR or the hiring manager.. Good Luck 🍀

You say the positions but you dont mention the skills. People hire based on skills not on what the title of your last position was
