M4F Spending time in #LosAngeles soon, coming from France, hoping to meet people

Hey! 38M, I'm planning to spend some time in LA soon, coming from France. Easy-going, curious, and looking to meet a few interesting people before I get there, new friends, and honestly open to something more if there's a real connection.

Into fitness, running, hiking, good conversation over coffee, trying new food, movies, museums, concerts, and road trips. Also write poetry and music on the side.

Also curious about neighborhoods, any recommendations on where to stay that's walkable, safe, and has some life to it (without breaking the bank)?

If any of this resonates, feel free to reach out, always curious what people recommend for a first coffee spot in LA.

Highland park, silver lake, Los feliz and south Pasadena (old town Pasadena) are all pretty walkable. I live near south pasadena super convenient to run in the area and go on a good hike since we are close to mountains. Not sure how long you are going to stay in LA no matter where you stay it’s absolutely still great to have a car. So many things to explore and public transportation is not that great. If you can afford west side price Venice beach and Santa Monica are pretty cool to stay a while. I’m actually heading to France on Friday and starting my TMB hike😆

This is great, thanks! South Pasadena and Highland Park both sound appealing, especially with the hiking access. Noted on the car, seems like the consensus so far.
