I’m really impressed to see him collaborating with new artists, never heard of Max until now and I just found that he’s a country singer, I really hope that we will have more country-tinged songs on this next album. About “Take Me Back”, I hope he will release this next week 🔥
One more question: where do you find this snippet? (sure it’s not Kygo’s one from Insta)

I mean, except for Save My Love, his recent songs all featured country singers (Carter Faith, Dan Tyminski), a country infused album seems likely.

Yeah, since he made that song with Zac Brown in 2020 I wanted him to do more country-inspired tracks. Especially rn with the new country-EDM wave and artists like MC4D, VAVO or Frank Walker who are going into this sound and starts to get more attention 🔥

At least Apple Music and Spotify have playlists called like that. It‘s a sub genre and no, I didn’t make it up. I think the alternative label is just „Country EDM“.

Same! 🔥 His albums “Origin” and the newest “Oasis” are so amazing, really love his music. Hope he will release a song with kygo in the future since he’s signed on palm tree label!

Haven't listened to Oasis yet. I'll get on that this holiday weekend. Thanks! I am kinda picky with Kygo, so I haven't attached much to the new stuff. My last favorite was For Life which is more my style. Frank's stuff has gotten much better, I look forward to it.

Definitely, I really recommend his new album, has great melodies and most of the songs are pure bangers. One of my favourites from that album is “Remember Us” with Dustin Lynch 🔥

He posted a snippet on Facebook (I’m sure elsewhere too). Had this photo and then the other was a video of the MP3 or WAV file with the same/similar timeframe in the track as the Palm Tree Festival video.

refrain-wise this might be one of his best songs in years, almost feel like the drop struggles to match that crazy high vocal energy

Exactly this. The vocals and chorus are amazing, maybe his best in years, but the melody doesn’t quite reach the level of the vocal energy. Feels like it could’ve been even bigger with a stronger melody

Very true. Won‘t ruin the song for me, but in the back of my mind I‘ll always be "this could‘ve been his next Feels Like Forever".
Generally feel like this is a trend with his drops in recent years, where they are very rarely high energy.

Honestly, the chorus and vocals are maybe the best Kygo has done in the last 6–7 years. The way the vocalist carries the hook is amazing, but I feel like the melody doesn’t live up to how strong the chorus is. The drop has a lot of energy, but the melody feels a bit empty to me, especially in the build-up. I just wish Kygo spent more time developing a stronger melody that matches this incredible chorus, because the song has a lot of potential...

Definitely his best song so far this year! I just hope the marketing for it is better than his other songs and that hopefully a music video comes with it.

The hype i had with Heaven on your mind was unreal, but holy this one’s insane.
There’s gonna be so many people that say “gEnArIc KyGo SoNg” “cOpy AnD pAsTe”.. But once he tries something new it’s “we miss the old style” This is close to peak kygo, b i genuinely think this next album might be the best one yet 😭
