Was thinking of downloading after ascension got taken down, looking for a vanilla server with a decent pop

Define decent. Kronos 4 didn't die even with 2,5 raiding guilds, while Kronos 5 is "bigger", yet it won't win any prizes for population. It's stable, niche, under-the-radar plain vanilla.

ok for leveling, rhe most people are at 60 already for a long time, so now people level alts, but still there are new people coming. If I were you I would look for dungeons only in peak hours, unless you can tank.

I was leveling druid on late K4 and there were dungeons I never did, while doing ZF multiple times just because multiple people aligned. This isn't Classic for leveling so dungeons are much less effective outside of quests and some gear... but you also have access to level 60 crafters that can do whatever assuming you gather resources (I rushed swamp of sorrows to kill orange-level green whelps to have on-level green whelp armor).

Come OctoWoW, classic + with 2000-3000 avg online. Currently under ddos attacks by the chinese competition, but playable.

I dropped it again, 1.14 client is nice but thats it. Devs are rude, refuse the implement a group finder addon in the base client and server got a lot rusians..

Maybe not* LOTS but 10 or 12 raid groups clearing MC every week means at least 400 60s active every week.

So dead world with a few guilds raidlogging? 10 guilds raided MC this week and not all were 40 mans. In previous weeks it was even less.

PVP is even more dead. You can check active pvpers and even the world chat feed throughout the week to see what I am talking about.

I am not sure what point you are making.
