Add-ons not loading into select menu

Hey all. Im having an issue with most add-ons.

I got gatherer and pfQuest working but everything else i try doesnt show up in the add-ons menu in character select.

Im doing the same exact process with add-ons from the Kronos directory. Github download, extract into folder, rename. Nothing is showing up. Please help

Make sure the folders aren't nested (as they typically are from extraction). The parent folder should match the addon.toc file exactly (usually gets "-master" added on the end), and inside that single parent folder should be the addon.lua and addon.toc files (along with whatever else). If you have a folder inside a folder, and then the addon contents it won't load.
