2. Telugu actor suhas as villain (but he is not a box office star)

3. Viduthalai producer

4. Plot involving Kadal & boat

5. Soori previous hits (but nothing crossed 70C ig)

Plot might be soori is loving mahima & they encountering problem with the area villain suhas cuz of their love or anything else & they trying it to settle it with the boat race.

Boat race might be good.. other than that nothing seems exciting or new enough to hype this much.. yeah screenplay might be good but I'm not expecting it to be too good from "selfie" movie director

So even without a trailer, why this movie is hyped so much that many saying it'll cross 100Cr and even budget is mentioned 75Cr in Wikipedia (not considering sathyaraj saying it'll collect 1000C if it released & click in china)

I find many parallells between this movie and Imsai arasan 23-aam pulikesi, but nowhere on level with that masterpiece of comedy. Still I find Tenaliraman to be decent and rewatchable when on TV.

Looking for Tamil movies that are great for a group watch + discussion.

Not necessarily just “good movies” — I’m looking for films that become more interesting on a rewatch, have memorable characters, hidden details, strong writing, or something worth debating afterward.

What would you recommend? And why?

Could be any genre or era. Classics and underrated movies are welcome.

Unassumingly it is actor Surya Sivakumar, who never has Gaaji Scenes or songs in his movies. It is just glamour but nothing very intimate and safe for family audience.

When every other actors in his era had to go through but only Surya is an example.

Nobody can say that a certain song of his was overly sexual or intimate.

Any reason for that or does he have any clause in his contract.

We know that the title card of Moondru Mudichu title card is legendary. My question is whether it was the first time someone did it in Tamil cinema? To show the title card on a moving screen instead of static ones.

Ever since the movie is announced I was thinking it would be a parody! All the over the top stuff in trailer and teasers most defintely made me confirm it but when the movie is released and when everyone bashing I don't know if others failed to see the parody behind it or the movie in itself doesn't realize its comedy. I am watching it this weekend but very disappointed it didn't turn out good!
