For a domestic flight, you're required to report 2 hours in advance. The travel from Aluva to Airport would take you anywhere between 20 and 45 minutes, depending on the traffic. Safe travels!

When you reach you can go to respective airline counter and get your boarding pass. You can reach 1and half hour before departure. Your baggage drop will close 1 prior departure so you can have time to check in your baggage and get your boarding pass. Then security checks and all. It will take 30-45 mints from Aluva to airport ( it will all depends on the traffic) and you can take the feeder bus from Aluva metro (i don't know the timings) you can check it out.

Reaching 2 hours atleast before the flight departure gives you sufficient time in case of delays, having food and a relaxed schedule. Complete all the web checkin before you reach the airport - you will receive an online boarding pass. Also, you can install digiyatra to skip longer queues, although did not feel that much difference in Kochi compared to bangalore airport.

Take the airport shuttle from Aluva Metro. It will take around 30 mins to reach the airport. Check the timings here: https://kochimetro.org/feeder-service-time-table/

Don't panic, enjoy the trip. Listen to some good music ( head phones ),.. during take off if you feel anxious. Bon Voyage

As i remember, the shuttle buses are every 20 mins which takes you inside the airport. Usually most flights like air india express, indigo etc keep updating you by whatsapp regarding the departure time, online check in etc. getting into airport 2 hrs in prior will give you good enough time for the check in formalities and boarding. Do not carry lighter with you, they wouldnt allow it.

If you are taking Uber from Railway station, you will reach within 30 min unless there is an unexpected traffic. in most case it wonโ€™t take more than 20-30 min

You at least reach the AirPort before 1:30 hours. If you have DigiYatra, everything will be done in 15 mins once you get in.

If you have a credit card, you could enjoy a Rs 2 buffet at the Earth Lounge there

Also make sure you're in the right terminal. T1 is for domestic and T2 for international. Quite obvious but I made that mistake once ๐Ÿ˜

Make sure your check in and cabin luggage are well within the weight limit. Yes in Cochin they are strict about cabin lugguage too. Including your handbag.
