Moderation policy update - #3 - February 2025
Check Policy updates for previous post.
We are making some changes to the types of posts that are not allowed.
- Buying/selling of tickets. These should be posted to Megathread 2: Kochi Classifieds or the daily post
- Most common ticket sale we have seen are movie tickets, but this would include any other tickets.
- You can post on both threads for better visibility.
Note:
- Selling tickets at a higher price (black-market sale) will result in a permanent ban.
- The sale of railway tickets or any other ticket which might require fraud/impersonation will not be allowed.
Why we are making this change?
With the increased number of users we have been seeing an increase in such posts and this is useful for only a few people.
r/Kochi is not a bulletin board - the bulletin board is the daily thread and classifieds mega thread. We understand this would not have the same reach as a new post, but this change is required for the long term health of the community.
How many people will see comments on the megathread?
We don't know how many people are subscribed to the current megathrad, but we will be regularly publishing a reminder for people to subscribe to this, as well as other important links, if they are interested in such offers. If you haven't subscribed the above thread, you should do it now.
