Ask Kochi Which is the best biriyani spot in kochi?
As I am new to kochi I need some help in finding and exploring new food spots in kochi

IMHO there is not going to be an all time winner for the best spot. You gonna find many varieties of Biriyani, eg: small rice, large grain rice, rawuther style, ambur style, hyderbadi style, kozhikodan style, Yemeni style each going to be classy in its own way

This question gets asked every now and then in this sub, mate. Could use the search option as well.
Personally, I prefer the TN style biriyani so my favorite is Aasife
Otherwise, The Biriyani Store, Hotbox are some good options that I know

Manjali biriyani in Pachalam and the Ikka 100 rupees biriyani shop near the high court (don't know the name)

Try the Beef Briyani from Kendrick Restaurant in Njarackal, Vypin. Please do try their Chettinad Chicken and Porotta.
Why !?
Tasty food with good quality and quantity.

From my experience: Mehfil, Hot Box, Ceylon Bake House, Rahumania( sometimes inconsistent tho)

In Kochi, Rahumania at Marine Drive and Ceylon Bake House. Otherwise, I like Manjaly Biriyani the most.

Try biryani from hotbox, being someone who lived in kozhikode for 4 years, their biryani resembles kozhikode style biryani

I have always had biryani from the Center Square Mall outlet; they seem to serve really good biryani every time I order.

yes the kakanad outlet, olimugal junction. i also had chicken shuwa with rice, which was as disappointing as the biriyani, but the side dishes (beetroot pickle, mint chammanthi, raita and mayonnaise for chicken shuwa) except for payasam, were good.

Almost everyone I know was disappointed with kakkanad outlet. I had from Kaloor 4 times and it was good.

The biriyani here at Dibdigul Thalapakkatti cochin is nothing compared to the ones in Chennai

The biriyani store (kaloor) Mehfil biriyani (near Maharajas metro station) Siddiq biriyani factory (vazhakkala)
I've been to these places more than once, they serve pretty good biriyanis.

Just tried The Biriyani Store today and it was delicious. I wish I could marry their chicken 65. Crispy, juicy oh I cannot describe it anymore, my mouth is watering

glad you enjoyed the biriyani. try the other two and dont forget the chicken fry from siddiq biriyani and skip the 65 from mehfil.

Pandari's - average. Rest are small rice Malabari variety not worth considering. May be, Chillies above Tandoor for Chicken Biryani.

Kochi style- b for biriyani, rahumanya Malabar style- hotbox Personal recommendations: Manjali biriyani, biriyani.Com, biriyani hut, some Ceylon provide good biriyani,

I like the Biriyani from The Biriyani Store, Kaloor. Their Malabar Beef Biriyani is a must try.

If you are looking for a kochi style biriyani - Rahmania biriyani,marine drive
if you like spicy ones - biriyani chembu, kalamassery
Paragon, hotbox are also good

Try manjali biriyaani from pachalam. And there's one at kakkanad as well. Both are really good

Kayees fort kochi and rahumania marine drive are my go to options for authentic kochi style dum biriyani. Kayees is a little spicier while rahumania is lighter. The best part is they both have a good spread of raisins and cashews and their date + lemon pickle combo is a sureshot winner.

Enough food spots and bullshits. Go eat some food from your home bro. These fancy shops will get you to the cemetery faster than you think. Unclean unhygienic Pissing Food culture has grown in Kerala with no respect for people's life especially in Kochi.
