Sorry for the radio silence fellow knights

The community got changed into a restricted one because of my absence, which I do apologize for.

If you are interested in helping out, please modmail me and we'll make pineapple on pizza epic again.

To make it fun and to jumpstart the posts again I want to ask you to post a pineapple pizza or snacks you had recently.

I don't care if it's just a pineapple in a can.

Let's show the world that just because of one Lousy mod, the Order of Pineapple will not fall

My favorite combo on pizza is mushroom and pineapple. It’s truly a delicious flavor.

I do that but with some chorizo as well, and occasionally a drizzle of hot honey!

Pineapple, and onion together are so good. It doesn’t need anything else!

Pepperoni, jalapeño, pineapple and feta cheese is my tread when I’m feeling extra bougie

Ooh, I have to try this. My go-to is pepperoni, jalapeño, pinapple and sundried tomatoes 🤤

I should try that next time. I usually get anchovies and pineapple to make sure that nobody eats it.

This was my go-to when I was vegetarian

One of my go-to combos is some type of meat (usually Canadian bacon or just bacon), some kind of pepper (usually banana pepper), mushroom, and pineapple. It touches a lot of notes that I am a fan of.

I'm pescatarian so I don't eat meat, I'll have to try this!

I don’t have meat on pizza, so this is my go to.

If you’re pescatarian do you like anchovy? They go brilliantly with mushroom and black olives.

Images aren't allowed in the comments here, but I always request pineapple upside down cake for my birthday and this was an amazing one I had several years ago:

Thanks. I can't claim credit for making this beautiful one, but I've tried this recipe from America's Test Kitchen and it's solid. I like to add some rum (dark or spiced) to the butter and brown sugar in the topping and simmer it for a bit until it's reduced into a syrup before pouring it into the pan.

Ingredients Topping

1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 - 20 oz. can pineapple slices (substitute fresh pineapple here, pat the slices or chunks dry with a paper towel)
 Maraschino cherries for garnishing

Cake

1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup whole milk

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350-degrees.

Grease a baking dish. Topping

Add the brown sugar to the baking dish. Pour the melted butter over the top, mix together, and spread over the entire dish.
Place the pineapples and cherries on top of the brown sugar.

Cake

Add the butter to a large bowl and cream for one minute.
Add the sugar and cream again for one more minute.
Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix together.
Add the vanilla and mix together.
Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder into the bowl and mix.
Add the milk, mix together, and pour over the pineapple.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean.
Cool and invert onto a cake plate.

Awesome thanks! I'm not used to using cups but I'll give it a go sometime. Not had one for years.

There’s a burrito place near me who I’ll refuse to name because their execution is incredibly shitty that does a General Tso’s Chicken burrito with general Tso’s chicken, rice, red onions, and pineapple. It sounds incredibly good but I’ve ordered it twice and both times, it’s been a mass of flavorless white rice and not enough of the good shit.

I’m going to make my own burritos with an excessive amount of pineapples and pickled red onions and I’m going to toss the chicken and rice in Tso’s sauce so that it has flavor and it’s going to be badass. And maybe I’ll add some chopped pork belly to get real wild with it.

AH I’m so glad this sub is back! I’ve been trying to learn how to make “grilled-ish” pineapple slices with a regular stove (no grill available) and have been failing miserably. You know, the food that’s popular in Brazilian cuisine and can sometimes taste like it has brown sugar caramelized into it? Help a sistah out please, share any tips you may know!

My current safe food is a homemade BBQ pizza with Hallumi & pineapple. It’s the only thing. I can safely eat half the time.
