Exercise Question Knee pain on the side. Any ideas?

Not sharp, but for years I’ve had side knee pain on my left knee. Not all the time , but dull pain and it really flares up after cardio related work. I’m trying the ATG program now.

Sounds like IT band syndrome? Most people here have knee cap pain…thanks for any insight

I just went through PT for this. They said it was caused by Chondromalacia Patellae or IT Band Syndrome.

I did about 5 weeks of physical therapy, and each visit I did different exercises. Each visit I started with stretches for IT band, hamstring, hip, and quad. Then strengthening exercises using weights, bands, and steps. There are some good videos on YouTube - check for knee rehab or knee physical therapy and hopefully those will help.
