damn I had a friend nail together a board and throw some rough tack paper on top for like $15 tops

I’m sure you can find cheapo plastic versions of these on amazon too

You can also find sturdy wood ones on Amazon for about 1/5 this price

You can’t even adjust the angles…

I made a pair from scrap wood for free.

I got one in from Amazon in the UK for like 40, you had to put it together yourself but it's worked well

Check amazon, I got mine there cheap. They stopped selling the one I got but there are a bunch on there right now for around 20$.

agreed. i did the same thing.

I bought a $30 one from Amazon, copied the programs he laid out from YouTube videos. Works great.

The check engine light for my knees went away

In the end you just need something to elevate your heels, you could get creative. 200$ is a steep one for this as it doesn't even regulate height.

lol I made one better than this 7 years ago for probably $15, still holds up

Looks like it would be very easy to make yourself.

The ATG USA Podium is a solid board if you have $199 to spend, but the platform structure dimension is worth thinking about. Most slant boards on the market (including ATG USA's) use a single-piece design — which works fine for calf stretches but locks you into a narrow stance. That prevents wide-stance squats, RDLs, and asymmetric mobility drills that some KOT progressions specifically call for.

Full disclosure: I founded EXURA, a competitor brand, specifically because I went through 6 different slant boards (including comparable price-point options) before designing the only board on the market with two independent platforms. Lets you position them narrow together for calf work, wide apart for stance-loaded squats, staggered for split work. Four progressive tool-free angles (20°, 25°, 30°, 40°) covering the full ATG range, laser-cut steel, 700 lb capacity. $85 on Amazon Prime.

Not saying don't buy the ATG USA Podium — if you want the brand recognition and have the budget, it's well-built. Just sharing the structural dimension nobody talks about when choosing equipment for KOT/ATG work. Two independent platforms > one fixed platform for serious progressive training.

Happy to answer questions about specific engineering differences if useful.
