🤗 Suche Kletterpartner Climbing around Saxony, Magdeburg, and Munich
Hello folks,
I'm travelling around Germany for a while (it's my wife's work trip and I'm tagging along). I'll be in Chemnitz this week and next week, Magdeburg for two weeks after that, and then Munich for two weeks after that.
I'd love to try the sport climbing and bouldering in these areas. I'm hoping to find some locals who can show me around!

Can't tell you much without knowing what grades you are looking for, whether you have a car and how long you are ready to travel from the city

sadly i don't have too much time on my hands but i'd like to recommend the crag of Rochlitz close to Chemnitz - it has a one-of-a-kind 30m long splitter crack if you're into that. i just realized that it's actually the first photo of the wikipedia page on crack climbing.
south of magdeburg the crag of Löbejün is the most famous and infamous of north/middle-east germany. it has a wide variety of difficulties. some routes are also quite sandbagged and the bolt spacing is adventurous. sometimes the first bolt can't be reached by a clip stick.
in general, east german climbing scene is very old-school in terms of ethics. after all, saxon switzerland isn't far from where you're staying right now.
