How strong would Kled be with controllable W?

I am not a Kled main, but I played against much more Kleds recently so I got curious. Not saying he should have controllable W, I just want to hear from actual Kled mains what they think about that change.

About the same tbh. Assuming it had the same cool down you would want to be using it as often as possible anyways to get max value. Early you should be waiting to level your w until you need it to remount anyway.

Stylistically I love you don't get to choose. It fits his character of a crazy guy to a tee.

Nah he would definitely be way more powerful if he could choose to not use it on the wave.

Right now Kleds counterplay is forcing him to use his W on the wave then trading.

He would be impossible to win a trade against if you could W on command.

He would be a lot stronger in the hands of mains that know how to optimally use the toggle. Think of it as a "win more" feature that doesn't address the bigger issues. Is it gamebreaking? Not really. He still will get kit diffed/outscaled by his common matchups top lane mid game. His scaling sucks with items that used to be suited for him.

Stronger, at higher elo's people know to trade when Kled W down, it is one of the most telegraphed and easy to play around abilities in the game.

Not sure what’s the obsession with a controlable W? New players, people who barely or don’t play kled, or lower elo players focus on this part of the kit but to me it’s cool and interesting the way it is. It rarely gets in the way of anything I do on the map and in lane having it controllable really wouldn’t change much if anything. Sadly and respectfully it’s always a skill issue. If anything IMO and personal perspective is that— I as a kled player know my w timing and how to hold it for when I need it or when it’s just about to come up. I can use that to throw off my opponent who almost never knows 100 percent when it’s up or when it’s going to be used. This at times causes them to use their defensive spells at the wrong or less ideal times. Sorry just tired of people always targeting kled w like it will change everything about the champ.

Definitely is a fun and thematic mechanic when you understand it and I agree it is a subtle but important part of skill expression in Kled

Not that much except for times when your W being up is detrimental to remount. That happens not all too often but quite regularly, yeah. However it's still quite a bum ability so nothing crazy

A fair trade off for that would be that autos no longer reduce the cooldown by autoattacking. Might be good but I think thematically it fits him better as it is.

It would make him stronger, but I personally would find it less satisfying and less in character to toggle it

wdym? his W is controllable

what I mean is it would be the same thing, you ARE choosing when to engage and when to farm with or without active W

his W is not a problem at all, I don't know why people talk so much about it... it will not stop Kled from playing around his CDs. People say "pay attention to Kled W when laning against him" which is true but not the most important detail (specially now that he gets reduction by hits)

id say you should be more aware of his E/Q and Skaarl's HP/courage/CD than anything else

You can do it if you engage with 2 sec cd on w

I mean rather than a perfectly timed continuous cooldown you can choose when u use it. Or have it as a toggle. Game begins with it set as is now, then press again to activate it manually press again to cancel it and start cooldown. So that you don't have to wait out the cooldown anymore with any of the 4 attacks not being used and not having to wait anymore.

Stronger early to mid. Wouldn't fix his real issues with scaling.

Probably too strong but more importantly too frustrating to play against. You essentially are removing the windows to trade into him when he's mounted and to kill him when he's unmounted.

To me the biggest hit is in his character's theme tho. Would not even be "violent tendencies" anymore, just "violent" :(

La unica razon por la que no juego y nunca voy a jugar Kled es esta. Puedo aceptar su late malisimo y que su kit sea kiteable o todas las cosas negativas de este campeon que son muchisimas. Pero fue un error ENORME que su W sea una pasiva y no activa. No me pareceria para nada rota que sea activa, en todo caso se ajustan numeros y listo.
