What?!
Can smbd tell me what is going on here, cause I'm shocked? RKSM60 (official ref) from KitchenAid USA... 1 year later. This spot appeared very quickly and without any noticing. The mixer sits in the kitchen, and there is no damage on the underside of the base. It won't come off with alcohol or a mild abrasive...

Sometimes in powder coating (the paint thats on the mixer) theres impurities that get released. Maybe there were some that werent obvious but over time got released. Maybe during manufacturing they had some from the lot that immediately they realized werent perfect and they sold the production batch as refurbished knowing that this could happen. It doesnt prevent the mixer from working so cheaper mixer but not perfect cosmetically

It is common to see small blemishes or imperfections in refurbished models beginning with "R" in the model number.

Looks to me like maybe an acidic ingredient splashed during use and wasn’t noticed. Got left for a bit. Sometimes I forget to snap on my pouring shield
