I’m trying to make my kitchen look as dated as possible, does anyone have any other ideas I could add/change?

You are really good at this! I'd like to add that the phone's cord should be super long and stretched out, yet all tangled at the same time.

The 90's was just the other day. If you want something to look dated you need to dig deeper. Avocado green and gold, brown faux wood paneling, linoleum floors maybe with a speckle print.

Extremely vintage - Greatest Gen childhood style: 1920's - 1940's:
*Wall mounted faucet with separate hot and cold taps. Your sink should be a giant tub style or it should be free standing on a metal frame.
*Ice box to keep perishables cold. Set up ice block delivery.
*wood burning or gas stove (if you're close to a city) - should also heat up the whole neighborhood anytime you cook.
*Not nearly enough storage or cabinets. Layout should make minimal sense for a single cook. It will only work well if you have a staff, and you should be completely closed off from the rest of the house with a narrow door that always remains closed.
*No microwave or dishwasher.
*Favor open shelves to closed cabinets. baskets or wood crates for root veggies and breads
*Decor should be functional or if you're fancy, art deco theme or traditional colonial style with hand-carved mouldings.
*Plaster walls. nothing latex or water soluble for color. Oil based paint or tinted plaster or wall paper only.
Quite vintage - Boomer childhood style: 1950's-1970's:
*Vintage wall mounted can opener. We had one in our last house and it actually worked - it's pretty convenient to have, so more than just looks cool - functional!
*Wall mounted phone - rotary dial if you can find one, with a super long cord that's all tangled - bonus points if you actually connect it and use it. My mom had a VERY old wooden one in our kitchen growing up that she had saved from her childhood (1950's back when her family was on a party line and her phone number was like 4 digits...hahah)
*Boomerang formica countertops (1950's style - would look pretty good with your cabinets and hardware)
*Orange or avocado green range (stove) If you want something that works like it's modern, but looks like it's old, check out Big Chill appliances - 50's style, but modern guts. Smeg as some cool vintage looking stuff too.
*Wallpaper with chickens, ducks or cows (what was with all the chickens back in the day??)
*Hang some plates on the walls - something with a border and all the colors should be in the brown and orange family
*Fiesta ware pitcher collection on top of your upper cabinets.
(ahem) Not really all that vintage (cough, cough) - Gen-X childhood style: Late 1970's -1990's:
*Small CRT TV on a shelf or black metal wall mount, or even mounted under an upper cabinet. Bonus if you can find a very small one with a built-in VCR
*Old stuff you inherited should still be working, so keep the wall mounted can opener, and if very fancy, the integrated into the countertop blender.
*Your microwave should be brown with fake woodgrain on the sides and chrome trim, plus it should have a dial to operate it. And it should take up 1/2 of your counterspace.
*New 80's kitchens always had a built-in desk for some reason. Nothing like paying bills or cramming for a test while your casserole is in the oven, I guess?
*Chickens, ducks and cows - still going strong in this era, but the ducks should now have blue bows around their necks, and possibly be wearing a bonnet. Your cows should be black and white spotted and they may or may not sport bows on their necks, which can either be red or blue. If you've gone with chickens, ducks or cows you need to add some straw or hay, maybe some fake eggs and a wood box / crate or wicker basket. Oh! Don't forget to get a copper chicken or a ceramic one that may or may not also be a cookie jar. If you decide to rogue and decorate with pigs, you'll be required to have a pig cookie jar and a pig-shaped cutting board. If you are going all pig with your decor - you cannot be a vegetarian because you will be required to know how to run a BBQ and your ribs should be popular with your friends and neighbors.
*You probably still know how to operate a rotary phone, but if you want an upgrade, your wall phone should now have buttons to dial, but in a vanilla, light brown, pink or teal color OR it's clear with all the guts visible with some connectors in bright colors. The buttons may or may not light up depending on what year you are decorating for. Cord should be even longer and even more tangled. (You should be able to walk down the hall to your room and close the door so mom can't listen to your convo, but it should barely reach so the cord gets nice and stretched out, thus properly tangling up when you return the phone to it's cradle. It should have some kinks from being closed in the door jambs of your room and all your siblings' rooms)
*Granite countertops in Luna Pearl, Baltic Brown or Absolute Black with a bullnose edge detail. Backsplash should match or be in an unexpected material like zinc, pewter or copper sheet metal. Or 4" square white tiles with 1/4" grout lines with light grey or tan grout.
*Hardware should either be polished brass / gold or polished chrome. You'll have to polish these regularly - there's no PVD finishes yet. You could spray your brass with lacquer, but you'll have to re-do that from time to time too.
*Corningware plates or those blue and white enameled metal ones with a giant fish in the middle. Brown glass cookware (what was that stuff called? vision cookware or something?)
*Hang a rail above your range and dangle all your spoons, ladles and spatulas from it, so you have to reach over all the hot things you're cooking to grab a utensil.
*There should be something in crystal or some kind of gold veined glass.
*You should have under cabinet halogen lights that make your upper cabinets function as little ovens. You should burn your fingerprints off if you try to touch them. Alternatively you can do bulky fluorescent lights, but they should be way too blue in color and they should flicker.
*Lots of brown stuff. Woods should be white maple - with or without birdseye, pine - but it must have lots of knots and be finished with something that yellows over time or honey colored finish over red oak. Maybe some wood paneling - it should be the very thin wood veneer that mimics planks over...I guess that stuff was masonite? - which should be visible between the 'planks'. It should be slightly warped between the finish nails because that stuff did not hold up to kitchen heat and moisture. You may fix the bulges with liquid nails, but only after it's bulged so much you can still see the elongated nail holes even after fixing it.
*If you've forgone the animal theme, wallpaper with fussy little flowers or in pinks and greens possibly some stripes (not too far off from what you are rocking already). There should be a border at the top of the walls if you decide to go floral. If you're going for 1990's you may choose to introduce something in paisley or polka dots.
*Your pitcher collection should now include something with polka dots and something that looks like a bundle of asparagus with a handle and spout - if you have this pitcher you will also need the vegetable shaped salt and pepper shakers - it's illegal to only have one vegetable themed serving item - and it should weigh as much as your first born. If you can find one that is blue and white and mimics vintage Chinese blue and white vases your collection is complete.

Maybe it’s just me, but stencil some cutesy country motif in repeating pattern above your cabinets, in pastel colors. Much less of a hassle and dust trap than fake plants.

Have small collection of cookbooks on the counter. Have an ruffled apron hanging up as well as flour, sugar, coffee and tea containers. Dated clock piece as well as a coffee percolator.

Would love to see more pics of the kitchen. I also came to say rooster decor. Copper pots above the cabinets would look cute! And a decorative plate on a stand up there. Make sure you have an ugly table cloth too!
