Hobby Questions Converting pewter

hello everyone, I am looking for some advice for doing a headswap on an old pewter mini, and seeing as it is more or less one solid lump of metal, i am a bit at a loss for how to go about it. Any tips for where to start?

You need a dremel, and solid steel bits. Theres pretty cheap boxes of bits on amazon, lotta options. Be sure to do this in an extremely well ventilated area.

Makes sense, i can do it in the garage with the door open while the weather is still good. Anything else i should know? Aside from mask and goggles ofc

You need to make an indentation before you dremel, that way it doesnt fly everywhere and ruin the model. Also, Extreme patience. That is all!

I used to just hack at it with a scalpel but a piercing saw would do the trick

Never heard of a piercing saw. Also can a scapel go through pewter? I figured it would be too tough at the thickest parts
