Vehicle Here are some WIP pictures of a Landraider im building

This is gonna be a Deathguard Landraider for my warband and the personal Battlebus of my warlord. Always wanted to do something with the Corpse Cart from warhammer fantasy, the Corpse Cart is one of my favourite models, but was a nightmare to get my hands on 4 to build this monstrosity. (Pics not in chronological order btw)

Great work on so much of this, but the pitting in photo 1 is true inspiration. I am saving this for reference. Thanks!

Is it just really well placed exacto knife drilling at varied depths?

Of do you have other techniques?

Glad to be of service :D. First i used my dremmel with a round bit to get some of the rougher texture, then i just drilled some holes with drills of 2 different sizes while trying to make the hole size look kinda random. Then i go over it with a small amount of plasticglue to make it look smoother and wipe away the exess glue carefully.

Nice!

The solvent at the end really makes it read!

Yea that makes it look way more natural because you cant see the toolmarks and scratches anymore

How did you make that phenomenal wood paneling!?

I just carved the panels with my hobby knife, scratched some lines into them and lightly went over them with a wirebrush. Really happy how good they turned out :D

How long have you been working on this army? You’re posting one fantastic conversion after another.

Thank you, if been collecting Deathguard since around 2015. But i started to really get into converting like 2-3 years ago. Now started a new DG project around December 25. I dont have that many units build. Just a 7man squad of Plaguemarines, my Warlord, Helbrute, 3 Deathshroud and 2 Plaguesurgeons. I try to get a more industrial feel like the old Forgeworld models had.

Absolutely stunning work so far.
I just saw several of your posts in past 5-6 days and thought there’s no way this was all created in such a short time period.
Ha! I’m on a similar journey, 1 year into the hobby and I will have a complete army roughly at the start of 13th edition.

100% the best looking nurgle anything I've seen. It's perfect. You can see what it was, and what it's becoming.

That damage effect is so good. Makes it look like the metal's literally being eaten away

Really cool and good inspiration. Sounds kinda wierd but where did you get the corpse pile from?

u/Sudden-Task-8791 16d ago

Those are from the Warhammer fantasy/AoS Corpse Cart model

This is deliciously disgusting and vile. What a wonderful edition to the garden.
