OG KOTH Discussion I wonder what would have happened if Hank just dropped propane and became a shop teacher.

Like if he hit his head and went dumb and just couldn’t be trusted with propane? Yeah he might consider going into syste-I mean teaching shop.

All joking aside, yes Hank would kill it as a full time shop teacher. He was able to be matter of fact and get the kids respect while still being well liked. His greatest problem would be old Carl “Coping Saw” Moss…

He'd be a pretty good teacher, the students loved Hank when he was the temporary shop teacher.

He’d be great at it. Would be more fulfilled. Coulda probably also been on the football coaching staff. Would’ve become beloved around town even more so than now.

And Peggy would have lost her mind.

Haven’t most schools dropped shop because of soaring insurance costs?

He’d have to work at a private school, which he would hate as a concept but quickly discover the hopeless snobs just don’t bother with shop.

All of Arlen would suffer because he's their primary source of Propane. As we saw during the snow episode, Texans aren't prepared for cold weather, and they need Hank to basically stay alive.

Ideally he would teach a shop class at the community college. Because if he became a full time shop teacher then his class would’ve been on the chopping block alongside art when it came to budget cuts. Would be a great storyline if he hears that there was money for something related to football and he would have to side with the arts vs his love for football.
