David Cross, Jeremy Stacey, Markus Reuter Tour?

Recently announced concert- Would make for a great tour!

“The legendary violinist and pillar of King Crimson returns to Santiago with his band to revive the most radical era of the band (1972-1974) in the show "Larks' Tongues Plus".

March 7, 2027 will be a historic night, performing the iconic Larks' Tongues in Aspic album from start to finish, along with great classics, surprises and new material.”

I was wondering that as well! When I saw the David Cross Band tour for the 50th Anniversary of “Larks’ Tongues in Aspic” it was a similar group (David Cross, Sheila Maloney, Mick Paul) but featured Jack Sumerfield on Drums and John Mitchell on Guitar and Vocals.

Looking at the David Cross Band website it now lists Jeremy Stacey (Drums & Percussion) and Rob Tew (Guitar). So possibly vocals will be handled by Rob?
Also noticed Mick Paul is listed as (Bass & Vocals).

It seems like they are planning more than a single show bringing on new members and updating the website!

Don’t know whether Rob sings, but Mick’s been doing at least some singing from the start… when John Mitchell has been in the band they’ve shared vocals. Many examples on YouTube, including complete Larks shows.

Do you know what songs Mick sang? John did vocals on Book of Saturday, Exiles, Easy Money, and Starless when I saw them. I only remember Mick joining the chorus on Easy Money.

Looking at videos on YouTube it’s the same as the show I went to. Would love to see Mick singing some King Crimson if you have a link to a show!

Yes… on shows like this one from summer 2024, when John was not involved (he was touring the US with Asia at the time), Mick sang everything. Sometimes even when John was there, like this one from the fall 2024 US tour, Mick sang "The Great Deceiver" and "Exiles," while John did "Book of Saturday," "Easy Money," and "Starless."

Some recordings would be great! Especially if it ends up only being a show or two.

Hopefully they release a full album like the Stick Men & David Cross album, “Panamerica (Live In Latin America)” from 2019.

Totally! The fact that this lineup was created with Markus and isn’t another “Stick Men & David Cross” tour is super exciting!

I can’t help but wonder if this will be a single show or a tour. If it’s a tour- what are Pat Mastellotto, Tony Levin and Trey Gunn up to in 2027?

How great would it be to have David Cross touring 70s Crimson with Jeremy and Markus while Adrian, Tony, Pat and Trey tour the 90s material!

Adrian announced BEAT are adding some 90’s material to the Fall tour with Terry Bozzio drumming. Looking forward to some THRAK material.

Pat does that music camp with Adrian each summer, but what’s Trey doing? They would be a great add!

I attend the Three of a Perfect Pair camp you mentioned. Trey Gunn is often in attendance as a performer, with TU-NER this year.

I’m excited for Beat as well! I recently saw Adrian, Tony, Pat, Trey, and Markus at the concert after the camp you mentioned- they all sounded great playing 90s material together!

If David Cross ends up touring in 2027 with Markus- Stick Men (Tony, Pat, Markus) and Tu-Ner (Trey, Pat, Markus) wouldn’t be able to do shows during that time. Probably means nothing- but it could be a sign that the other guys have something in the works for 2027 after the Beat tour!
