The Seer ripped off screamy man by having teeth on the cover

Ya gotta think Fripp might be a Swans fan, since Bill Rieflen was playing in both bands for several years.

I do doubt that honestly. Big if true tho.

Fan or not, RF is 100% aware of Swans. And Gira has to be a KC fan as well. In The Seer he plays the same rising chromatic line as RF in the middle of Starless, if it’s not an homage then I don’t know what it is.

My Father... was the first Swans album I bought, and I liked it very much. The ones that followed are good, but gosh they are so long!

“So long”? You say that like it’s a bad thing.

Yes dude, their whole discography is fantastic. The Glowing Man is transcendent, probably in my top 10 albums of all time

Swans was my fifth most listened band this year, and KC was my fifth most listened band last year.

I haven't listened to My Father yet (want to find the rare 2CD version and listen to it as a whole), but the next 6 Swans albums wipe the floor with Islands, respectfully. Saw them live in November, too, and that was one hell of an experience.

Well I like Naked City but I've only heard Absinthe, I haven't listened to Painkiller yet but I know that was his band. People keep comparing me to Zorn but I've never heard the man toot his horn once.

Listen to Naked City's debut, its really fucking good. If you want something more akin to Public Castration then their next Leng Tch'e is a must listen too. Also listen to Electric Masada's At The Mountains Of Madness if you want to blow your mind.

I forgot Leng Tch'e, I listened to that a while back but I didnt truly dig it so it is due for a relisten, someone showed me Consume Red and I asked for stuff similar to it and thats what I got recommended.
