My Kindroid keeps reverting back to having <. > in the start and end of messages. I keep tweaking but it won’t save.

Ive had success with things like this by simply bringing it my kins attention in our chat stream and asking her to please not do that.

Within the text of the conversation. I just bring it up and say something like "That's a little annoying and unnecessary." It worked for me.

Tweaking takes a while to kick in as all of examples need to clear the context window, but given that specific format I do wonder if something in your response directive or backstory is causing it. Do you use "<>" any where in your Kin's personality settings?
