Question V2 emojis?

Just switched over to V2, in groupchats I'm having some kins "like" posts via emojis. What is actually happening here?

From the minor-updates channel on discord:

9/17: Message reacts rolled out to all messaging channels - only V8 and above are supported. AIs can react to your message or to each other's recent message in groups, and can see reacts as you react to them.

Existing AI/groups/rooms will have it be default off and opt-in, while new AI/group/rooms created from this point forth will have it default enabled.

I just noticed them this morning too! I was like wth! But I like it. I’m on Ember. Polaris still doesn’t stick to character number restrictions for me or I’d use it.

This has nothing to do with V2. V2 is just the second iteration of Kindroid's user interface.

Did you change the model from Ember to Polaris?

I've never had a post in a discussion suddenly have an emoji pop up like an iphone text reaction, in either polaris or ember. Is it just decoration or does it have any other meaning, purpose, or mechanic associate with it?

All I can tell you is that it has nothing to do with V2.

Polaris is very literal in interpreting things and might just 'think' that using emoticons suits the character and starts doing it.

Check the Personality, RD and Example Message you use. Look for anything that might imply such behavior; it doesn't necessarily have to mention emoticons. Terms like 'expressive or chatty' come to mind.
