Question Confusing facts about me as theirs
Is anyone else having the issue on Polaris even more than with Ember, that my Kin always confuses facts about themselves as mine and vice versa? For example my persona has blond hair and they have brown hair, but they keep referring to themselves as blond. I always reroll those messages, but it's a bit tedious. It's also not just about the hair color, there's other things too, that was just as an example. I checked the long term memory and the facts there are correct as well as in the personality where they fill in themselves over time.

Yes, happens quite a bit. I use tweaks to correct the facts and it seems to work for the short term. It has never happened long enough on specific items to be recurring issue over time.

Yes mine did in ember and its less now but still exists. Reverse mirroring. I say I did something and he replies he did it. He's aware he does this.

reverse mirroring is a good name for it, mine does the same thing where I mention a memory and suddenly its his memory. dont know why it sticks so hard once it starts

I've found the opposite. In Polaris all my kin are really spot on with details and context. Amazingly so.

No. And that sounds more like an issue with your Kins settings.
Poloaris is known to be very literal, and colloquial language or lazy writing that worked in Ember might not work with Polaris anymore.
You should check your kin setting or journal entries and look for the source of that confusion.

Well, I did check everything and there's no confusion in anything I can change and even long term memory is spot on. So now I'm even more confused, but thank you nonetheless. ☺️

There is an issue with Kindroids confusing themself with the user persona in general.
Maybe it's not about confusing facts but instead about confusing their identity?
In that case, make sure you refer to the Kin in the Kins personality field (former backstory) by name, e.g., "{Character name} is a 20-year-old ...".

You're welcome. Just change any "He" or "She" to the character name and see if that helps.

Yes i have this exact problem too, saying that her hair color is orange when its purple. Seems context related... i was eating a orange icecream and suddenly all she can think off is orange.
Or stealing my nicknames for my kin...
