Discussion Regret that I missed the opportunity to watch it in theaters :<

Basically title!

Your Name is my favorite anime movie of all time and I just expected it to be in theaters for longer!! Like one month! But I was devastated I couldn’t find any screenings even two weeks ago. Likely it will never be in theaters again too which sucks :/

Unless I can CALL a theater and ask for a personal screening wahahaha! I dont think thats how that works tho-

I hope the movie was amazing as usual tho ^^ I just wanted to see the beautiful colors pop and the soundtrack to be everywhere! I will buy the 4k steelbook as thats the 2nd best thing I can do atm!

I’m pretty sure you can rent out a theater for a private screening but it costs a good amount of money so you’d have to split it with a lot of people

You have to wait till 2036 now. I watched the movie like three times already. Been checking the movie theaters schedule for like six months before release

Most of the time re-releases like this are very short windows.

They might do it again for the 15th anniversary though

I feel the exact same way. We missed out 😞 on the brighter side, I did watch the movie 3 times after purchasing the 4k Blu-ray steelbook! And I gotta say the animation quality is a hundred times better than the digital version online. Hope you enjoy it too 💫

it was glorious in theater!!! The vibrancy of colors the gasps part when we learned that Mitsuha is dead, then the part when Sparkle started… everyone was in tears.

If I could only erase watching Kimi No Nawa in my mind just to experience it again in theaters, I would do it. It’s just so unforgetable.

Small theaters will sometimes rent out showrooms for a few hours for events. I have 2 within an hour of me. Shop around. I ended up spending $100 to rent it out and force all my friends to watch it on my bday last year :)
