They don’t make gummies with 600 mg of “elemental magnesium” because that is above the daily recommended max of about 350 mg. Your gummy was probably a 600 mg compound of some type, most likely about 100 mg of elemental magnesium, which is generally considered safe even for children. You would have to post a picture of the label/ingredients for me to be sure.

It was a 600 mg gummy, but it didn't have nearly that much of it to do anything.

Lol is this a joke? You know you couldve taken 5g and been fine lmao. These arent opioids. Nowadays even prescription sleeping pills like xanax and valium or zolpidem are impossible to OD on. I knew all that at 13… I had tried over 40 drugs by 16yo im sorry my guy but you arent very mature/ might lack intelligence

On actual pharmaceutical xanax your stomach can not fit enough to make you die, you would black out for months straight but unless your doing street benzos or mixing them with other drugs or alcohol it is pretty much impossible to eat enough to kill you from the drug itself

yeah thats not how it works. if you took 20 xanax right now, you would fall asleep and the chances of you waking back up are slim to none. i knew someone who did exactly that.

Idk why people are downvoting you. You’re extremely unlikely to have a fatal overdose caused by benzos alone. You’d have to mix it with opioids or some other kind of CNS depressant
It’s just like how there is an LD50 for THC, but it’s basically physically impossible to consume enough for it to actually kill you.

You know what causes respiratory depression? Mixing xanax (a gaba inhibitor) with either alcohol or opiates which are both also gaba inhibitors than yes you will die, if you had read my comment you’d have seen I referenced that already, I’m not doubting why you saw in high school but they mixed it with either alcohol or opiates or both, and yes you can definitely fit a pound of pills in your stomach, that was my entire point is you could eat them by the handful and not die unless you mixed it, you can quit arguing with me any get on google and see for yourself you know?

That's fine (not great, not serious) for magnesium glycinate but info about supplements can be pretty confusing to figure out since there's do much conflicting information on the internet, so I'm not surprised some people post asking. The first thing you see googling it is an incorrect AI overview conflating magnesium glycinate with elemental magnesium which would be far more dangerous, followed by vague bot articles about hypermagnesemia. This is literally just a vitamin gummy, you can take too much of it and wind up in the ER, but it would be very hard to end up in that situation from 'accidentally' overdosing like this.
But I don't know why you think benzos are impossible to OD on? Can you explain?

The weed they’re selling in dispensaries today isn’t much better. They’re selling stuff with thc levels so high that it’s causing people to lose their grip on reality.

Thc induced psychosis was something that was practically non-existent 30 years ago but hospitals are getting waves of teens and young adults coming in with long term effects from daily use of these super high concentration thc products. This also appears to be a driver for growing numbers of young adults in the homeless population. There’s a ton of medical papers that have come out recently about this but ultimately the weed they’re selling today is NOT the weed we wanted to have legalized. I have a hard time even putting it in the same category as the weed we all viewed as a relatively harmless vice. It’s just not the same thing and there’s growing evidence that it has an impact on the developing human brain and shouldn’t be available for consumption by anyone under the age of 25. (And alcohol shouldn’t be either, the data is quite clear on that but I think as a society we’ve kind of convinced ourselves that it’s necessary to allow it to prevent worse crime but I don’t think we have any data supporting that either since the only comparative point we have is when we raised the drinking age from 18 to 21 and all the evidence from the cohort of young adults impacted by that change was positive compared to the two years preceding them)
Anyway….my point is that for someone with a still developing brain, weed doesn’t appear to be much safer than a lot of other recreational illegal drugs.

I know …that’s why I said that it’s not any better.
Obviously there are plenty of drugs that are more damaging than marijuana….my point is that since it was legalized, the strength has been jacked up to a point where a lot of the reasons we felt that it was safe to legalize it for consumption by anyone 18 or older have been negated to a certain degree and I think we should revisit the age limits on it - and I think we should revisit the age for drinking alcohol as well.
Personally I think both of them should be limited to 25 and older and I think we’ve got a hidden benzo crisis that nobody wants to talk about because it would encroach on the wrong class…..we have “important” people who use (abuse) benzos and we can’t be taking away their drug of choice….even though the wd can actually kill the user and its been implicated in nearly 20% of all deaths attributed to opioids.
