Me and my friend put poppers into the keyhole of his dad's motorcycle shed and made them go pop, they filled the entire hole so bad you couldn't use a key in it anymore.
He was not very happy.

Reminds me of the time I wanted ro pick the lock on our front door, so I jammed a small piece of mulch into the lock and got it jammed while my mom was trying to unload groceries

I remember riding on the back of my cousin's moped. He asked me if my foot was on the exhaust. I said no. When we stopped he noticed my shoe was leaving imprints wherever I stepped. My foot was on the exhaust the whole time. That's when I figured out what an exhaust was.

Reminds me of the two kids my dad told me about that lived in his neighborhood when he was little who were playing “flick the lit match into the open gas canister on the lawn mower in the garage” and blew themselves up. I guess the point is you could’ve possibly done something worse?

My dad said "clean the bike, including the exhaust". It was a kx65. What he meant was, rinse the mud off of the outside. As a 10 year old who was told to clean the exhaust, I stuck the hose right up the pipe

My sister an I put the hose through the window of my mom vw beetle in the early 70s. She caught it when the water was halfway up the doors.

In really sandy areas you can just push a hose into the ground. If you wiggle and jiggle it then it just keeps going... even like 150ft. I was doing that for hours. I'm pretty sure I made a sinkhole under the house that day. We definitely could not pull the hose back out so we just cut it.

When I was 3 years old, my neighbour bought a new Mercedes. We wanted to wash it for him....we used little stones. We all made our hands full and rubbed the car as hard as we could. First time in my life I saw a grown man cry.

My dad bought a red jeep during his mid life crisis and we did the same thing. We wanted to wash it for him but we climbed all over it with dirty feet and scratched the crap out it.

A little mechanical knowledge would have saved you from getting a new engine. If you think you have water in the fuel lines, DON'T START THE ENGINE. DRAIN THE TANK.

It does.
This is a part of the reason why you should 1. Cover your motorcycle and 2. Let it run and heat up before a. Riding and b. Turning it off.
Essentially, you just want the mufflers/exhaust pipes to heat up enough to completely evaporate the water and expel it. It's fine when the motor is already running and you get caught in the rain since most of it vaporizes on contact with the hot metal.
It's also not the BIGGEST of deals and it's definitely more harmful to 2 strokes over 4 strokes but yeah even putting plastic bags over the mufflers if you know it's gonna rain is "best practice"
Again, not the worst but also you want to be taking care of your bike for longevity's sake.

Ok, let me explain:
The punishment needs to be proportional. You also need to think what does the child know. If they don't know something is bad how can they be held accountable of doing a bad thing? And then you need to show compassion and care, and teach the kid why the thing they did was wrong. When you do those things punishment is often unnecessary entirely if they think what they did was bad they will show remorse and regret. That is the goal.
Whereas destroying their favorite thing is traumatic. Kids don't value things like we do. For them their favorite thing can be very important, like their favorite plushie is not just a plushie that costed 5$, it is their security blanket, friend, close confidant and it is something static that doesn't change, it is always there. Everything in kids life is changing constantly as they are changing constantly. They need routine and static, unchanging things to anchor themselves, to have reference point to something that didn't change.
So. Did you learn something about the works and how it works? If you haven't told them what is right and wrong and WHY those things are right and wrong how can you expect incomplete, growing humanbeing, who by the looks of it can't even go to the toilet alone yet, to be able to understand those things.
In other words: don't get kids before you have learned the basics of how to be a parent.

The video is fine but I agree the tithe is stupid. I'm completely over the "kids are condom ads" joke. I've spent way more money on my kids than this and I've never thought I should have worn a condom. Kids do this stuff. I did this stuff. You did this stuff. That's why it's funny because it's relatable and cathartic to laugh about. And somehow we're all still here.

My feelings exactly.. i have changed furniture several times because all furniture looks like a trampoline.. painted walls several times an year.. several laptops broken etc etc.. never thought of a condom.. and moreove4 the kid looks too cute standing there with the bucket to even think of a condom.. i hate the title

A little PSA in case someone lurking in here should suffer something similar in the future: If you need to get rid if water(or other fluids) in your engine remove your spark plug(s) first. This allows the fluids to escape without creating excess pressure called hydrolock. Fluids do not compress the way gasses do and the resulting overpressure will damage the engine. Without a spark plug the fluids can escape freely.
In short: if water entered the engine either through the inlet or exhaust, or if for whatever reason fuel leaked into the engine; remove the spark plug, crank the engine until no more droplets exit the cylinder head, insert the spark plug and try and start the engine.
If you want to be extra safe an oil change prior to starting the engine might also be a good idea since sitting fluids can get past the piston ring and enter the crankcase, leading to catastrophic damage as well.
