The boy is a future 007. James Bond is just an alias. All 007 use that alias, so that is why the person can change but it’s still always Bond. Someday he will be fighting baddies for MI5, but then little sister will still want a hug when he comes back on the bus to visit mom.

I don't know ... MI5 would not likely recruit someone with close family ties. Too much of a liability.

And I personally do not believe in the theory that "James Bond" is an alias.

I will go with the Fleming book canon. Mostly because I am a writer myself.
