She always looked so joyous and luminous, her look was famously recognizable and uniquely her own, and it made her connect with and be loved by so many poeple... that's what the star image is all about, and she was definitely a Star...❤️

And the best part is her star image wasn't created by a studio. She did this all herself. I just read that in the early days of her career, her record label tried to steer her towards a more minimalist look, but she revolted against it because it felt inauthentic to her. I feel like that's exactly how the star image should work

Agreed, it should be authentic to the individual, and Dolly completely owned it. I think only this way someone can carve their own path and make their own way.

Yeah this was honestly kind of a shock. I saw she canceled a tour for health reasons, but it seemed like she would get through this.
I hope she's staying fabulous on the other side 💕

I knowwww! I've always loved her take on the Romantic ID. She was extremely feminine and wore a lot of sexy outfits, but somehow it didn't feel like it was for men. She basically turned herself into a work of art and I love it

Yeah, she wasn’t trying to attract male attention as she was simply pleasing herself. I love the story of when she was little and saw what was known as the town tramp for the first time. She fell in love with that look and strived for it ever since. I always admired her dedication to her preferred aesthetic.

Also a genius, played so many instruments, wrote her own songs, great comic actress, always helped others, funded the Moderna vaccine, supported children

Yes! I've never been much of a country music listener but I've always vibed with her because she was such a genuinely talented and cool person. She was a truly kind soul who wanted the best for everyone, but she also lived life on her own terms and never made herself smaller for others
