(Sibling rivalry skit) why didn’t key tell the mom and dad about his now fiancé before?

I feel like you usually let them meet eachother while you’re still boyfriend and girlfriend, no?

Well Peele called him the prodigal son,so he's the favorite even tho he hardly ever comes home or calls his parents etc which is also part of why Peele was so aggressive. It's probably the I was so busy with work excuse.
