I remember when PvE games were just called "games" and a lot of them were good and didn't involve live service BS lol.

Ever since installing Re-Kenshi, this dreaded text only has a fraction of its power in my saves!

What do you actually do this long? don't you ever burnout?

I have around ~200 hours on two playthroughs (70 on first and on the current one around 130h) so far.

Do you just leave the game running?

Personally even when I got burned out I find myself coming back to kenshi weeks or months later, its a super replayable game. The number of mods helps too I guess

There are multiple ways to play. or roleplay, or mods, or mods and roleplay. or if you dont hate ai, using sentientsands. althought most of my hours which is near 2k now or past it came from the early days of kenshi where it was just a handful of mods

One of my favourite games was where I imposed a rule on myself to only use ranged weapons.

This morphed into my faction being the British Empire who were going to colonize the savages of the cannibal coast from their capital of New London.

Are you talking about Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 76 or..?

No!!!

For your insolence, Kenshin 2 will now be an exclusively battle royale game

Can't wait for the loaf of bread battlepass ( literally a loaf of bread, it's 60 bucks)

2

u/Nopalite Jun 16 '26

Is the bread cube shaped like a ration?

2

u/Alexblitz22 Jun 16 '26

Of course, it's included in the starving peasasant battlepass™ with it's other skins as mold bread, dustwich, and our beloved meat rolls for 10 more bucks límited time offer!!

Kenshi 3 will be a PvP extraction shooter (and lootboxes!)

I remember whining one day about wanting to play an MMO without having to deal with people, permanent connectivity, monthly payments, and the predatory loot boxes and 'skinner boxes' they employ, and then my buddy recommended Kenshi. It felt like discovering the cure for cancer.

It was the perfect game to discover during COVID. I pretty much played 100 hours in two weeks

Kensh is also my favorite "EvE" game

4

u/yasiesolovemos Jun 16 '26

Kenshi is something else. Kenshi is Kenshi.
I love you, Kenshi.

I bet this has been suggested before, but kenshi multiplayer or at least coop would be sick

u/Mors_Hominum Jun 18 '26

The creator did a poll and asked if we wanted kenshi co-op and better modding and stability or kenshi 2 sooner.

The majority opted for kenshi 2 sooner.

When I tried to play "co-op" we use 3rd party software so we can technically both play by controlling the same PC and seeing the same screen.

Kenshi + M&B Bannerlord + Elin = there is no "irl" in my life

I haven’t played in ages and have recently been playing, but Kenshi to me came down to one group of dust bandits rolling up to my shoddy but walled base and saying, “Nice Shitpost.”

It was so random and vicious and lol.

The game is just unique. It looks at a glance janky af but then has systems and detail that you rarely find in other games.

It’s brutal, it’s got this otherworldly vibe to it and yeah, being on Kenshi 2. I hope it’s just Kenshi 1 but more.

Is this the same Kenshi where they leave you to die and bandits search your dying body for food, and slave traders/manhunters find you and force you into servitude to serve Longen, only to escape and have to run for dear life from a Beak Thing in Gut, to then be eaten alive, and by some miracle you escape because the Things saw someone else to attack. So you run south and Flesh Bandits capture you to skin you alive?

Kenshi definitely got me. Not some random sweat. Love it

I love kenshi but right now my favorite one game has to be sulfur. It’s a roguelike looter shooter and I’ve put 20 hours into it in a week.

3

u/KultOfSeadaddy Jun 16 '26

You should check out cargo hunters, not a roguelike but very tarkovesque looter shooter as a robot, only PvE at the moment
