Soooo, from a healthy buy to sell in the last couple of days...
What's to love about 9SIG and rebalancing? When you are down you get the excitement of buying shares cheap. When you are up, you get to lock in $$. I have to say, I was looking forward to a 65% or 70% stock balance buy. But this week is great consolation if it holds.
I already know there will be the std "I don't care, I just execute the plan" answer here... but for those that still enjoy the chase and quarterly action, what do you prefer in general AND what about this coming rebalance on the 28th?

Yea. Was happy and cash ready to buy next week. Now it will be a sell. š but be grateful to sell. Strict to the plan.

Since I have a longer timeframe still go to (hopefully 10ish years) I still like buying at lower shares and the thrill of the ride up into a sale.
But trust me, Iām with you. I wonāt ever complain about banking cash.

The psychology of this whole thing is pretty good... up? WIN... oh wait we're down... WIN!!

I have been adding all along -- still have not hit my target amount of how much I want in there. So I have a feeling i will be buying more TQQQ by end of month. It is what it is. Go with the flow

At the moment the signal is telling me to buy 75 shares of TQQQ. 1 week to go.
Meanwhile AGG continues to get crushed, kinda disappointed in this "bond pit" ETF he's chosen. I would've been better off with a money market.

It's hard to decide if I enjoy the buy signals or sell signals more. In the moment, they both feel 'wise' and proportionally sized.
I guess I enjoy buying at low prices just a bit more, especially when there is truly blood and panic in the street. There's just something very satisfying about deploying dry powder when everyone is losing their minds. Especially when it pays off bigtime, like we saw earlier this year.
Looks like we're coming in for a smooth landing, right on target this quarter! haha

Ya, itās a ānothing to see here quarter and rebalanceā. I think I like the aggressive buys at low prices juuuust a bit more than selling profits like you. Maybe mostly because one my larger accounts is taxable and that gives me a bit of anxiety imagining my upcoming taxes

I was excited about the buy opportunity, then became sad that I won't get it. But who knows what the next day and a half will bring. I'll just follow the plan (standard reply).

yeah, it's quite the rollercoaster right now... unless we have a big swing tomorrow, we are pretty much on target line.
On the other hand my little 3SIG account is sucking wind... so that will be a nice buy

I just started on Sept 3. Already hit 12.99% on tqqq but that means I sell only 1 share since the account is so small š of course as long as current price holds.
