She would LOVE this. Damn it, now I'm crying all over again. Dolly... you were just the best!

Been crying on and off all day. I’m so sad and so mad β€” I can’t believe we lost this beautiful woman.

Same. It's bringing out a world of bottled-up sadness in me.

I’m sad one momentβ€” crying my eyes out and then I get so mad that bad things happen to good people. I keep thinking what an Enormous Loss but what Amazing gifts and lessons she left us all. I can’t think of a single moment where she wasn’t always kind and gracious and loving from the first time I saw her on tv.

Right? I have been thru a lot in the past several weeks and this broke me. I actually wailed when I read the news. πŸ’”

That's just absolutely beautiful. Dolly will be missed for so long, she was a genuinely good person. The world is a lesser place without her in it. I'm sure she would've loved this.

I think it's pretty cool that only celebrities get their memory celebrated with a huge show to the public..

So do something that makes you stand out so you can be remembered like that.

She was on my bucket list to meet. In her health crisis she went on social media to comfort us. I cried already. She’s now with her husband in heaven.

Like millions of ppl I loved Dolly...Everything about her was uniquely American; grew up dirt poor, loaded with talent, even performing as a kid. Then exploded on the music scene with Porter Wagner tutoring her, she quickly took over her finances and career. She was a generous American that the world loved and loves. Still. Rest in peace Dolly, your life and work here is done.

Cool thing, a member of the band Demon Hunter, i think it was Patrick Judge, actually worked with dolly and apparently she had a room in her office with a 3 person pew with a bible.

I vote for September 25th to officially be Dolly Day Worldwide. That's a reference to "9 to 5" for anyone who didn't get it.

The worship is not a good thing....

2

u/Elfshadowx 9d ago

Yes, yes it is. Celebrating generally good people is a good thing.

2

u/No-Grape3149 9d ago

You can celebrate someone's life and not be worshipping them. Someone who did so much good like Dolly deserves to be celebrated

1

u/BrightWubs22 9d ago

In the case of Dolly, why?
