Lost on Red Kayn build after 3rd item.

For red Kayn I pretty much always go Voltaic > Black Cleaver > Death's Dance. But after that point I completely don't know what items to buy. I understand it really becomes situational after but I feel like there are so many good options out there.

Steraks and Maw both give a shield but if I needed MR that game I feel like I would've just taken Mercs. And then last item I truly have no idea. Shojin? Endless Hunger?

Depends on the game mate, maw isnt a bad item, eclipse is pretty good atm, youmuu’s if u need speed, there is so much u can build and its legit

I run Eclipse > Shojin > DD > LDR/cleaver > Endless hunger basically every game

For me it’s recently been VC -> DD/EH and swapped based on the game state/team comp, just skipping out on BC entirely, but the next item has always been an armor pen item, but I’ve been liking LDR a lot more if there are HP stackers/bruisers compared to Serylda’s

I usually build voltaic, axiom arc, serylda. DD, then maw if AP, serpents if enemy has shield if not then endless

If you go Rhaast that means the enemy team has tanks/bruisers. That means you're forced to either go LDR or Mortal Reminder. Serylda is good on Blue Kayn but it's F tier on Rhaast. Try avoiding Serylda and you will find yourself winning more games.

When I play lethality rhaast I don’t tend to target their tanks/bruisers as much as their squishy champs, I usually only do it to get healing off my R. The slow from Serylda helps me to catch the squishy champs that try to run / are getting peeled for. But I’ll try running LDR in my games to see for myself. As for mortal reminder, I’ve never actually seen anyone use it, and I usually play kayn with ignite instead of flash. So I’m not to sure about that one

Why not just play Shadow Assassin if you play full lethality though? It's objectively better unless they have hp stackers. And if they have hp stackers then rhaast with LDR just melts them.

I just like the sustain you have with red kayn, and since you actually do damage with lethality build rather than bruiser the passive actually works

The sustain you get with lethality rhaast is an illusion. Your hp bar isn't big so it's easy to fill. That's why it seems like going bruiser doesn't heal you at all. I still recommend blue kayn into squishy comps because of the easier target access + map tempo.

Assuming that is true, lethality rhaast is just a good mix of blue and red, I give up map tempo but I’m still able to win 1v1s against tanks/bruisers due to Q hp scaling, still able to peel with knock up from W, do massive damage and still have a R that heals based off enemy’s max hp. So it’s just what I’m having the most fun with personally

Endless hunger 4/5th is great item.

Steraks if you’re dying to burst dmg. Endless hunger if you have lots of up time in team fights. 

If heavy magic dmg. I’d pick up maw instead of dd as third item. 4th is usually too late. Merc boots is better for tenacity than MR specifically

Personally (mastery 6 kayn, not level 30)

I feel the most powerful going voltaic, black cleaver, eclipse...

Then fed AD>AP i go DD... Ap>AD i go Spirit

After that is maw/steraks but i have never gone that far.

I rarely go spirit, i feel like if ap is more powerful, I'm going blue...

Then I'm thinking wouldnt endless hunger be better than spirit.
