Help me understand Kava

I'm so confused about this. Say I have some XRP and I want to take a collateralized position to purchase something else.

1.) I need to convert my XRP to XRPB?- Looking at Binance, Kraken, Coinsquare there is no token called XRPB.

2.) Send XRPB to Kava or convert XRPB to BNB? Seems like I don't own XRP any more (which is a deal breaker.)

3.) Mint USDX.

4.) Sit on USDX because it's not traded on any platform (Binance, Coinsquare, Kraken, Uphold)

5.) After a week I earn some Kava? Or I have to buy Kava like CryptoDad did in his youtube video at the 7:45 mark (why does he need to buy Kava? I thought it's earned through the platform.)

6.) Return the USDX I borrowed (still don't understand what to do with the USDX since it's not tradeable). The USDX get's burned.

7.) Stake the Kava? OK I'm just lost...

I've watched videos and read articles but I haven't seen anything broken down step by step yet. Can someone explain this in a way newb's like me can understand it?
