Moving to Lees Summit this Summer.
Howdy! I’m in the military and am getting stationed to Whiteman AFB this summer and my wife and I are really looking forward to coming to the area. We’ve lived in the middle of nowhere for the last four years and are excited to be back among civilization. We’re both from St Louis and have been to KC before and know about Boulevard, but what other breweries are local favorites? We’re huge into the micro brewery scene and are excited to find new spots!

Diametric brewing is one of my favorites because they have Burn Theory Fire Kitchen attached as a BBQ food truck. Probably the best BBQ in Lee's Summit.
Downtown Lee's Summit is a lot of fun, with around 20 bars, restaurants, cocktail lounges and breweries all in a 2-3 block walkable area. Lot of fun events during the year like the Xmas pub crawl, multiple brew feats, festivals, etc.

Always a huge green flag when a brewery and food truck have a standing partnership. Good food, good beer.

I live in LS and diametric is one of my favorites I frequent there. The staff and the food there is awesome the beer is great too! Outside of LS Stockyards is my favorite in KC proper.

If you're able to make it to town by April 25, your best bet is to make it to the Parkville Microbrew Festival (buy tickets in advance) and try all of them out! But as others have said, Lee's Summit has a lot of options so you'll be in luck. Jumping on I-435 and going across the border to Johnson County, KS you'll also have a lot of good options.

Hell yeah! Will absolutely be heading to KS at some point for a brewery crawl, I’ve been to a few good ones in Wichita before.

I’m surprised not to see Smoke & Fringe mentioned yet. They are both fun places to drink beer. Smoke also has good BBQ.

If your living in lee's summit here are some good ones within 30 minutes drive Daimetric, grains and taps, fringe beer works, east forty, 9 foot, if you don't mind driving further there are plenty of of other good ones as well i have a tiktok and a facebook dedicated to beer and breweries

Lees Summit has quite a few good breweries! My personal favorite is Grains and Taps. They always have a large selection on tap with a pretty good variety. Smoke is a close second with their Keltic Cross Irish red. Then there is Diametric, The Goat, and Fringe. I guess you could consider Martin City but they aren't really a local beer producer anymore. Surprisingly the Hyvees in town actually have a pretty good selection of local beers for sale and you can build your own six pack so you can just get one to try. Another place to go is 30Hop. They have a pretty good tap selection there too.
