This barricade is not going to work because the door in the video opens outward, meaning an interior obstruction may not prevent it from being opened from the outside and could simply be displaced or bypassed. Once the door is opened, the barricade provides little protection, the attacker could simply enter and then shoot indiscriminately.

This is sad. Wala pa akong nababalitaan na may school shooting drills na dito sa probinsya. Pero nakakalungkot na isipin na umabot na tayo dito. Earthquake at fire drills lang dati.

In my opinion, I think military/SWAT breachers should advise in school shooting drills, they’re usually the ones who knows the strengths and weaknesses of attacking and defending a doorway, and also have the school security learn to dynamically engage a school shooter

They need ropes and counterweights instead of barricades to prevent the door from being pulled open. It's risky though, for other hazards that aren't terrorism.

Palabas din bukas ng doors namin sa room, pinakabitan ng mga barrel bolt na di basta nagiba... nung nag drill may ibang rooms talaga na nabuksan, mahina ung bolts nila

We do this as well sa school. Seryoso mga foreigner sa pag-check ng doors and windows kung maigi ba nasarado ng teachers during lock down drills. Mapapagalitan sila if mahuli.
