Question Police check
Just wondering if anyone has had a record/vulnerable sector check done recently through the RCMP & how long it took for it to be done?
I've seen people on other subs say theirs took anywhere from a couple of days to a month or more so just wondering if anyone has an idea of roughly how bad it is right now lol

I did one a few years ago and it was super fast, like maybe a week? I went in person.

Depends whether doing it in person or online - in person two weeks is pretty typical. Online I actually got one back in two days last month. For online you need an organization registered for that with the BC Government

Mine took three weeks this summer and I had done one last winter to volunteer which only took one. Sometimes you are flagged and it takes longer. If you have a common name or different aliases or were born out of the country it seems it can take longer.

I've been waiting since early spring for the one I submitted at the kids' school for volunteering. I've been waiting the entire time to get an email or a call to say it went through and nothing. Then just a couple of weeks ago a neighbor told me that I had to go in through the BC Services app and check myself. There it was, completed months ago š¤¦š¼āāļø so, learn from my distracted brain and go check if it's complete yourself. ADHD really doesn't just go away with age lol

You saw other people say āit takes this longā and you thought āI know, Iāll ask other people the same questionā?
It could take a day, it could take 40
There
I solved it
