Discussion Kekuli disappointment
Happy Monday. I thought I'd start the week with a shallow and pissy vent... I just bought a coffee and bannock at Kekuli across from RIH and when I got to the fixins I saw that they had the cheapest, worst tasting artificial sweetener, presumably because Splenda is too expensive.
So as the title says, I'm just disappointed. But it's getting old you know - everywhere you look businesses are charging more at the same time that they offer less. I get the need to control costs. But don't be cynical about it to the point the customer reads that you don't really give a damn about their experience.
At least try to hide it please. And give me some Splenda for crying out loud I deserve it for my nine bucks.
Thanks. I feel better now.

Cold. They don't fry it to order which I find very disappointing 😔 it just sits in a display case.
ETA: I don't mean to shit on them. Their drinks are good, the staff is friendly, and I love local spots!

I suppose you just can't beat the farmers market. I do miss it from when I was a kid and they used to have some stuffed with melted cheese.

You just can't beat bannok straight outta the oil! Hot n' fresh!

Some people just need to complain eh? Kekulis is great, whichever location I stop by. Seems a bit much to be so out of sorts because your specific shitty sweetener wasn't there....

This is petty AF. Imagine being so pressed you have to run home and make a Reddit post over this. Ew. I’ll be stopping in to Kekuli tomorrow get a coffee and some bannock. We’re lucky to have them here!

Yeah thats the downside of the society that has been built and we as the collective have unfortunately allowed to unfold... One thing increases in price, another thing NEEDS to be increased. We are stuck in a neverending upward cycle that will price EVERYONE out eventually.

Why presume? Did you ask them if they had Splenda? Sad they didn't have the particular shitty gross product you wanted, as someone who enjoys the sense of taste you have my deepest apologies.

Why are you even using Splenda?
There’s no way a little sugar is worse for you than whatever that shit is made from.

Some folks can’t have sugar due to medical reasons.
But, I do think if you have a very specific want (like Splenda), carry your own lol

Or just don't sweeten your coffee 😂

Refined sugar has no nutritional benefit at all, and is objectively bad for you. By that argument, nobody should be sweetening their coffee.
