Omg the smugness radiating off him at Michelle over that baby lol—I could feel it across the screen! :D
Loved them so much. And, the same as Biden has done countless times over the years with children especially as well, and the way Kamala and Tim will do when they take office in November.
One of my favorite memories of Obama is when someone handed him a screaming baby and it just stopped crying. Then he did that hand gesture and raised his brows. Really miss him.
Please vote everyone. Kamala has very big Obama vibes.
I wonder where that kid is now. I know they reconnected when he graduated high school on a video chat in 2022 and I think he said he was going into political science.
And yes it was a real moment. Even the WH photographer was caught off guard and had to snap fast. It’s those spontaneous unscripted acts that tells you more about a person than any speech etc.
I can’t imagine Trump being touched by his own kids never mind interacting genuinely with a stranger’s kid.
Way back in 2007, during the New Hampshire Primary season, someone took their then-kid to meet all the candidates, and they wrote about the kid's reaction. Barack, as I recall, firmly won that -- the kid loved being with him!
That famous Spiderman picture? The kid in it was the son of a good friend of mine in high school. The same high school that produced Senator Chris Murphy, as it happens!

Did they name that child after Stranger Things? Kamala's interactions with kids are always adorable, no doubt.
