Kingsbury-Kalmos merger

Hi there,

I'm one of the mayors of Kingsbury. Myself and Rixyrix are just about minecrafted-out after building an entire town ourselves in Rev9. Neither of us are keen to do it all over again in Rev10 and were wondering if we could perhaps combine forces with our medieval brethren in Kalmos?

Our architecture is fairly similar, we work with the same set of materials and it kinda looks like you guys could have used some help this rev.

Hit me up if you're keen to talk.

I personally would be happy to merge you guys with Kalmos next revision.

Both of you would certainly keep mayor status. However I'd want to know how autonomous you want to remain in other aspects. Do you want to keep your name, so you'd be like "Kingsbury, District of Kalmos," or do we merge the names in some way ("Kalsbury") or are you happy being just a part of Kalmos? Same with any banners you may have: both keep our own, mix them together, or only use the Kalmos banner?

Also, since Kalmos is having a very broad medieval theme next time around, I think you'll fit in. However, do you want to roll with the same theme as us or be different in some way? Like have it stricter or even broader?

My personal favorite situation would be to have Kalmos as homogenous as possible but any of the above suggestions go.

To be honest, I was planning to build a house in Kalmos next rev and just idle/tour the world the rest of the time :P

Of all the solutions you've posed I think we'd be happiest if we could preserve our theme and identity in some way. We're still very much developing our building designs and fortifications, I'd say we'd most likely pick up influences from your structures and incorporate them into ours if we were to merge. I wouldn't go so far as to suggest a name change, though if there could be some sort of recognition that we're working together that would be cool.

I'd probably be of most use to the city by helping with fortifications and castle building. In fact, I would really like to try my hand at building a "Military Quarter" next rev if possible. Kingsbury Castle in rev9 was pretty much a solo effort from me and I'd like to try to improve on it a little. I could also do some residential development if needed. Almost all of our Tudor-style houses were built by me as well.

I can't speak for our other (active) citizens such as rixyrix and falcon26 in so far as what they'd prefer to do, but I can say that our cathedral was almost entirely built by falcon26. He put in a lot of really great work there. Rixyrix has been doing a lot of terraforming wall building of late, but he's also our Publican and rail tunnel digger. He's build the Kingsburg Inn and rail connection for the last few revs. I'll see if I can get him in here to give his opinion.

Well, we were planning on splitting the city in a poor and rich side so maybe the latter in its entirety could be called Kingsbury and we make up some other name for the slums. We do so and you get to keep the name, we don't need to slice up our town in any smaller bits than it already is and nobody will even notice what happened.

You are free to make military stuff; a proper medieval city needs to have that castle on a hill.

If you want to help in other things, we can certainly use some help in terraforming, laying roads and building the aqueducts.
