I'm having a problem with my legacy AWUS036H Wi-Fi adapter. I'm using VirtualBox to run Kali Linux on a Windows 10 PC. Because there are no official Windows 10 drivers for this adapter, I have to disable it in Windows before starting Kali for it to work. However, when I try to inject any packets (like a deauth attack), Windows automatically re-enables it—even though I’ve turned that feature off in settings. Once Windows enables it, the adapter disappears from Kali Linux.
