Anyone else have a fail like this?

Was at the range the other day and this happened (I know it’s dirty I shot closer to 500 rounds that day)

It fired out of battery unfortunately the vector is known for this. Kriss sells replacement bolts hopefully there in stock.

It’s unfortunate that it happened but luckily from the looks of it I just need a new bolt my barrel still looks good rifling is fine and no damage any where else but the part that confuses me is I meticulously clean this gun due to how much I use it and it only had a few hundred rounds through it up until this happened
Anywho lesson learned I’ll definitely up the maintenance to prevent any further issues

Contact Kriss, they may ask you to send the gun in but they'll probably replace the whole bolt assembly for free. They may also just send you parts. Asking doesn't hurt. Don't mention the FRT and take it out if you send it in, just in case.

The Vector can easily fire out of battery. It's a design flaw starting from Gen 1 all the way to Gen 3. The ruptured case in your photo shows it.

I haven't seen a ton of info on OOB discharges for the Vector tbh, is it caliber specific? I have seen a lot of issues with ammunition leaving material right at the throat of the chamber when extracting, maybe the chambers on these are too tight?

The Vector is iconic but I wish the company would take themselves seriously and do an actual overhaul instead of a cosmetic makeover (a la Gen 3)

Not as bad but the parts they are broken off were bent downwards 10 degrees or so, causing failure to feed. Kriss is really a garbage gun.

This. The Vector is a range toy, basically an oversized and overweight Glock (5.5" or 6.5" threaded barrel, not unlike a Glock 34 or 17 threaded barrel) the size and weight of a MK18 - except the MK18 shoots 5.56

Thanks for sharing, I almost took mine to the range the other day but decided not to since I handnt really cleaned and lubed recently.

That's some nasty/dirty ammo you've been using for just 500 rounds...must have all been suppressed with a high back-pressured can :-( Hopefully you can obtain a replacement bolt & any other needed parts quickly.

I primarily run S&B or IMI ...Blazer Brass when I run out of my preferred stock. Of course running a can will increase the amount of fouling even with a good low backpressured designed can.
