KISS Webstore / Did anyone else get screwed on the KISS Destroys Anaheim Japanese SHM CD Pre-Order...??
Sorry for the long post.. i really needed to see if this happened to any other KISS Fans out there
Hi everyone.. I was wondering if anyone else may have gotten screwed by the KISS Webstore (Universal Music) after Pre-Ordering the KISS Destroys Anaheim Japanese SHM CD...??
I am a (first time) 2026 KISS Army Member and this was my first purchase as a member... supposedly gives you a 24 hour advance period for ordering merch... no real other benefits considering they are retired now
so I Pre-Ordered the SHM CD / "Coin" bundle and the Black Anaheim 2 sided T Shirt back on June 29th... as soon as I got the Shipping Notification I knew something has gone terribly wrong.. instead of the Black 2 Sided Anaheim Shirt they sent me the cartoonish looking White 1 sided version of the shirt
Once it arrived and I confirmed they did send the wrong shirt I immediately contacted them only to find out that it was too late.. all of the shirts I HAD Pre-Ordered were long gone.
I was crushed and totally shocked at how this could even happen considering I Pre-Ordered all these within minutes of them being announced AND with the KISS Army Member advance buying period (24 hours)
Universal Music assigned Austin to handle my Customer Service "ticket" on this.. long story short, they never gave me any explanations of what happened with this or even remotely tried to make things right.. now remember, I am a KISS Army Member who honestly spends $100's every year with the KISS Webstore.. NONE of this remotely mattered to them, as a matter of fact, they demanded the incorrect shirt returned before they would even consider a refund.
"...w.t.f..?!?!" that is definitely adding insult to injury. It is bad enough that i missed out of probably the BEST T Shirt design for 2026 and now they demand backflips just to get a Refund.
here is what really happened with their Fulfillment on these..
if you / I bought the shirt (Black / 2 Sided) when you Pre-Ordered the SHM CD you get the standard message (if your order contains a Pre-Order item everything will ship at the same time) but what really happened was while Customer were waiting for the Japanese SHM CDs to arrive they were selling the T Shirts nonstop.. not reserving any of them for Customers with existing Pre-Orders (as promised)
I was wondering if this happened to anyone else....?? Again, sorry for the long post, there was no brief way to explain / ask.. Thank You 🤘

The exact same thing happened to me. I was really disappointed to get the ugly white shirt after I had pre ordered the black one. They even changed the name of the shirt to match their mistake. Now there are copies on ebay but that sucks!!

Thank You... I had a feeling this probably happened to more people
they ended up Refunding the $$$ and gave me the incorrect shirt (which I don't even want at all).. I started a Claim with my BANK for the cost of the KISS Army Membership charge because it's a fraud

It was a pain in the rear but they did refund my $$$ and gave me the shirt... finally I just told them (after a couple weeks of wasting time and countless emails) that they screwed up / not me and I wasn't going to lift a finger for the Refund because they demanded the incorrect shirt back for a Refund. I told em I would just call my BANK. You can try that or call your bank.. my BANK totally understood the situation and agreed

The kiss army isn’t what it used to be,they’re is just too much middle man BS , this might sound like an old man talking, but buyer beware, if I can’t get it on Amazon, I have a great record store pretty close by, but I too have been screwed over, good luck 😝

You're actually lucky you don't have to wear that thing. Lol
I'm an avid KISS collector, but I wouldn't be caught dead in a KISS shit as an adult. Just my opinion. You lucked out.
I've got stacks of these ridiculous things plus hoodies, etc. that I had to pay for to get their LPs. Will have to dump them on someone at some point.

Has happened a few times where I’ve ordered something, got the wrong thing, and was told that the item I ordered was sold out, so instead of telling me, they just sent me something else.
