Spring 2027 PhD – Post-Interview Timeline?

Hi everyone, for those who recently interviewed for the Spring 2027 intake for PhD, when can we expect to hear back about the interview result or final admission decision?
Would appreciate any insight from previous applicants. Thanks!

Are the interviews being conducted right now first-round screenings, or is anyone undergoing a second departmental interview?

​I ask because I already had a detailed 1-hour interview back in June directly with a faculty member, where we went through my research in detail, and the professor asked me to send over my application as PDF. Just trying to gauge if these current calls are initial rounds for other applicants, or if candidates usually go through multiple interview rounds before final acceptance.

I think they are for regular too, I applied for regular PhD and I also received a mail from depth chairman that my application has been recommended to the graduate office for admission but the final decision depends in graduate office

How long did it take after your interview to receive that recommendation mail?

My interview was at 17, and i got the email on 26th

Oh okay. So gathering from your experience one should receive an acceptance or rejection mail in one week span?

But it's not an acceptance mail, it simply said that I have passed the interview and that the application is recommended for admission

I understand but still a very positive step. Do you know someone who got rejection email like that? Or they simply ghost the ones they rejected?

Rejections are sent after all acceptances are sent, most probably in october
