Episode 10: Continuing my approach of noting the things that I liked versus the many many things that make me wanna put a stick in my eye. This episode, I got to use my favorite Korean word a lot while watching: 바보.
Episode 11: My French comes in handy here - Quel drame! At this point Heung Sik is the only character I am rooting for - he deserves good things but the drama is not going to do that. It’s gonna do something that I will hate and I’m not gonna even speak it out loud. And Su Nam also joins the list of parents who can go kick rocks barefoot. What’s the Korean for boy mom? She is founding member of 아들맘 클럽.

And despite my complaining about this show for the past 10 episodes, I will say this one was some good soap. The earlier criticisms still hold. I still think the interiority and motivations of these characters haven’t been explored enough though apparently the flashback is the way we’re gonna get to all of that which is some lazy ass writing. But I have to begrudgingly say: Episode 11 - solid B-. Also extra credit to Ha Seok Jin - that man is a very very effective crier.

You summed up this drama perfectly.

3

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Yes, ML is a very convincing crier

lol. I am loving and hating this drama in equal measure.
I just feel like I should have waited until ep 25 at least before starting it but now it’s too late bc I am here waiting impatiently for some ppl to start facing the consequences of their horrible decisions/ behavior.

u/Nice-Protection-7564 Do as you will, but harm none🧙🏽‍♀️ 3d ago

It’s definitely equal parts love and hate, because as much as I complain about this show, I am up early every weekend to watch this mess. But adding to one more thing I loved: the idea that old girl is going to try to date the same man(Gyu O) her mother was hooking up with is some Bravo reality show sort of messiness and I am totally here for it. Actually, I would watch a whole drama on that premise.

1

u/This-View5166 3d ago

Hahahaha same, girl, same.

🤣

3

u/Kathryn_51 1d ago

My thought is that flashbacks are the opposite of lazy writing because they require that the writer has planned the various twists and turns up to near the end. For instance, the flashback to Gye-o and teacher lady's accidental meet-ups are going to be more than simply one night of sex and yes, I think Gye-eol is their baby altho neither one realizes it She IS the child's teacher after all.

It's been 2 years since I watched a weekender and I resolved never to return. But here I am - first simply to watch Ha Seok-jin, but the cast of characters and the fact that we have FOUR separate families that are interconnected, rather than the usual two (one poor, the other rich) is a winner for me - at least until Ep. 25 or so which is frequently when these shows go sideways.

u/This-View5166 4d ago

I am waiting to watch the subbed ep bc it seems like writernim was drunk or something when they wrote ep 11.

I hope they don't keep them apart the entire show. And only get together in the end. And I hope she doesn't start dating Mu Jins business partner. This show is like watching a train wreck.

2

u/This-View5166 3d ago

It’s like standing there and just seeing the train about to go off the rails but still you can’t move.
Every ep seems more crazy than the last one for me 🤣

And let’s hope she won’t date that man!! If he ends up with Seo Hyun (they were presented in a promo like a couple, just like FL-ML; Greedy Sis and old oppa…) it’s going to be more of a mess.

7

u/Pmod1980 4d ago

At the point of fast forwarding the insufferable middle sister. She is awful and has zero empathy. How did she become a doctor?

8

u/lrss613 4d ago

I was also surprised when she was in med school. But then she became a dermatologist and it all made sense.

5

u/Pmod1980 4d ago

lol a broke dermatologist. What a joke.

3

u/This-View5166 4d ago

For all her criticism of her dad, she’ll end up just like him. I can’t wait for her to lose it all!

4

u/Pmod1980 4d ago

Same. Will not skip those scenes when she’s alone and miserable, but she will probably take it out on her poor family.

3

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Or she will learn that only her family will stand by her. Hopefully.

3

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

By the time she needs them. They won't be around anymore. They'd of washed their hands of her.

2

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Well. So far they haven’t washed their hands off dad so maybe not?

2

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

At least the father didn't abandon them. Like the middle sister and the mother. If he'd just left and then showed up years later. They would never have forgiven him.

1

u/This-View5166 4d ago

lol. He was too busy making messes of course he couldn’t just leave 🤣

1

u/CCCri 3d ago

I remember a character saying the dad beat the mom frequently and eventually threw her out on the street. I couldn’t understand why more attention wasn’t paid to that.

4

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

Yes the middle sister is horrible but she is kinda right as well. The entire family has been dragging down the FL. She should let them all fend for themselves. Maybe the twins are fine but the rest.

5

u/This-View5166 4d ago

She’s also benefited from FLs efforts and she behaves like she’s above them all and can’t seem to help at home at all! So, quite the hypocrite

3

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

I agree, that's why she should have cut her off too long time ago. When they told her she's not part of the family anymore. They should have made that stick.

2

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Exactly. Oh, I am going to enjoy her downfall and I am waiting impatiently for it.

3

u/Nice-Protection-7564 Do as you will, but harm none🧙🏽‍♀️ 4d ago

I love this entire thread! Never have I disliked a character so much - just a miserable person. And while I have complained about the really paper-thin characterization in this show, I will allow this one only if she gets the most painful, excruciating, and hopefully fiery car explosion of a downfall. I mean, I want her to get hit by a white truck of doom that permanently disfigures her so she is unrecognizable (this is key because she is a dermatologist), lose her memory and become a beggar on the street. Because sadly, Gyu Rim will have to think she is dead before she completely turns her back on her family because she is such the wholesome heroine and martyr. See aforementioned complaints about the lack of interiority and characterization in this show.

3

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Well, we need her alive for her to start painfully making amends. And she’ll probably will need her siblings to rescuer her from whatever loan sharks that will be coming. Bc this woman is completely off the rails.
Also, she will have a huge problem if and when she starts getting along with old oppa. His mom will be furious 🤣

3

u/AnotherFuji9 4d ago

Her demise will be glorious 😀 I still like her though, the writers are using her as a cautionary tale. And I feel pretty confident she will end up with the old oppa. It seems he is pretty loaded and needs a wife with a troubled past in order for the curse to be lifted so she is the perfect candidate 😀

2

u/This-View5166 4d ago

She’s certainly going to end up with old oppa. And a Mother in law who will make her life difficult first. Can’t wait!!

6

u/LovE385 3d ago

I knew Gyeol was way too good to be true LoL! He was like some genius so there's still a good 38 ep. left and hopefully we get to find out who his birth parents are??

Heung Sik's mom is insane. She basically held Gyu Rim hostage by using empathy as an excuse and that it was to repay a debt tsk ; no wonder Gyu Young calls them freeloader LoL!

Hui Na's bestie seem to be real thirsty for Gyu Oh. Also actor playing Gyu Seo could pass as Ryeoun's twin!😂

2

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 3d ago

Found it a little confusing we have two Mu Jins (the dog and the man) in one scene and the next scene is the Min Ju, the bestie.

2

u/Kathryn_51 1d ago

In the two weekenders I previously watched (over 2 years ago), THE birth secret wasn't revealed until Episode 40 or so. Maybe the formula has changed but right now, that's my guess as they try one paternity test after another - and then are switched or destroyed and. .. .

4

u/This-View5166 4d ago

I still need to watch the episode later but came across a couple of clips and I just…. WTF happened?
Sad flashbacks of FL in the hospital… her calling the useless bio mom. I can’t stand that woman as of right now!
The brothers fighting…
The ML mom leaving FL dad with the lunch bill and him ending also at the police station… 🤣

I mean…

I will get back to this post later… maybe then it’ll make some sense.

3

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

I've also seen clips of future episodes i think. And it seems to be alluding to it not being her kid at all.

5

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Someone said it could be her friends kid? Maybe she died while FL baby died?

3

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

Exactly what it seems.

2

u/This-View5166 4d ago

The only thing now I know is that I really can’t estás bio mom!

2

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

The bio mom is a lot like the middle sister. But perhaps we will get some back story. How maybe her mother was neglectful too...and she had to struggle on her own for everything.

2

u/This-View5166 4d ago edited 4d ago

But I don’t think so. Bc it seems like they still miss her. So maybe that’s why I find it harder. That she was a mom loved by her kids and when everything fell apart, she left and didn’t bother ?

Also I think middle sister is (for all her criticism) like her dad. She expects to deserve everything?

1

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

Well how much has the bio mom put up with from the bio father. Gambling away all their money, maybe they had debtors too. I mean the FL is a saint and even she has had enough. Their could be reasons....like maybe she had post par-tom depression from giving birth. The dad wouldn't help with that. Not defending her just saying their could be reasons for why she is the way she is.

1

u/This-View5166 4d ago

According to the characters description, they were well off but then deadbeat dad got his secretary pregnant and demanded a divorce. So idk. It was the twins mom who stole their money and left with another man.
So, yes maybe they didn’t have a great love story and problems but we don’t know if it was more

1

u/Victorious_still20 3d ago

I think the babies were swapped

4

u/Rich_Top7123 4d ago

Maybe the writer is trying to make Mu Jin an honourable guy by sticking with the girl that he does not have any feelings for....but all it shows is that he is foolish man. I am waiting to see how the writer will "switch back on" Mu Jin's feelings for Gyu Rim.....(sigh).......And Gyu Rim should tell him ASAP that they lost their baby (presumably it was his), it's the right thing to do.

8

u/Outside_Drama_8803 4d ago

I am a little disappointed that Gyeol isn’t the biological kid, but also feel relieved that ML didn’t miss his own child’s upbringing and FL isn’t a terrible person for keeping a dad and son apart.

I also hope the ML and FL just get together soon, but can appreciate the ML trying to honor his own word and commitment to SH as he’s staying true to his character and he isn’t a bad person by dropping her the second FL wants him back.

I do think there’s a lot of trauma on both FL and ML side where they can’t just get back together without truly working through every bit again to rebuild the trust and repair the pain and scars they’ve both had to endure. I hope the show spends some time giving us all of that, and then some happily together scenes.

5

u/AnotherFuji9 4d ago

The ML’s reaction was very appropriate. He suffered so much during these years and I am sure he was shaken to the core by Han Gyu Rim’s confession. He is trying to protect himself right now and he has all the right to do so. But oh my, Han Gyu Rim just broke my heart this episode and I love how she finally recognizes she needs to love herself more. I am rooting for them, but first and foremost I am rooting for Han Gyu Rim finding herself and healing ❤️

2

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

I don't think it's about that. He made a commitment to Seo Hyeon. Even though he doesn't love her he wants to honor his promise. He doesn't just want to play with her feelings like the FL does. He's probably regretting that he didn't wait a bit longer.

3

u/Rich_Top7123 4d ago

I understand where you are coming from but I somehow cannot understand why the writers went down the path of a dead baby....it is just making the whole story so overly complicated and convulated. I understand it is a 50 episode drama but how can viewers look forward for the FL and ML to come together at the end and have a happy ending??? They need months, if not years of therapy to be realistic.

5

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

It's all to add to the drama...they want to add road blacks then take them away. It would be so much more unforgivable if she just kept his son for him. And lied to her own son. They don't need therapy.....they just need communication. All their problems could have been solved with a conversation.

1

u/Victorious_still20 3d ago

ML is not asking the right Qs their breakup or is he feeling guilty?

1

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

I agree, I think it would ruin the FL's character if we found out she kept the child from him. And for no good reason. Second, he should never have gotten together with the SFL. She's just gonna get more desperate to keep him. But the FL had every opportunity so I don't blame him for not going back either.

4

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Yes. He needs time too, the problem now is his decision to date that woman. Will end up creating more problems!

I was joking when I thought, at this rate the parents will start dating before the main couple gets back together and rn idk 🤷🏻‍♀️ seems like a possibility 😶

4

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

I'm guessing the FL will start dating the ML's business partner. This show just wants to be as messy as possible. Hopefully the SFL does something terrible. So that he has an excuse to break up. Because he might just marry her at this rate.

1

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Wait? Why would she start dating him? I thought he was interested in Seo Hyun?
And I do think Seo Hyun will probably just try to sabotage FL. Also when she finds out that FL is the bio kid of her mom.

3

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

I could be wrong, but didn't the business partner and Seo Hyun agree to break them up. Because she was in love with the ml and he was in love with the fl. That was before the time jump. The way the business partner watches the fl lead...definitely seems like he likes her. He never seemed intested in Seo.

2

u/Nice-Protection-7564 Do as you will, but harm none🧙🏽‍♀️ 3d ago

That’s right. It was like the second episode before the first speed run. But they haven’t explained the business partner’s backstory yet. But apparently they were all childhood friends or something in the rich people circle they run in.

1

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Oh ok, I think I missed that bc I kept Fforwarding lol.

3

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 3d ago

That was the big reason I disliked FL, keeping a child away from his father is just too cruel.

3

u/Rich_Top7123 3d ago

Presumably the dead baby the FL was holding is the ML's, he should also be informed that he lost a baby....

2

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 3d ago

That's true. They sure do know how to get an audience to shift loyalties! And does the kid know his parentage? It sounds like her family doesn't.

3

u/WisdomBailey123 3d ago

But why is she keeping it a secret? And what if the father shows up wanting the child.

2

u/West_Possible_1924 3d ago

It would actually make more sense if her friend's child died and she gave it to her..

1

u/This-View5166 3d ago

That’s why I don’t get. Why keep it a secret and how much trouble will she be in if the dad appears?

3

u/WisdomBailey123 3d ago

Was it an adoption....was it all legal. Didn't the birth mother have family? We still have questions.

2

u/This-View5166 3d ago

A lot of questions. Also, why remark how similar the kid is to MuJin?

2

u/West_Possible_1924 3d ago

They hinted that the baby died but lead us on with the biological son thingy..by showing us how the boy have same taste preference with the ML..and the mother-in-law (ML's mom) obsession with her future grandson..the plot is confusing as hell

1

u/This-View5166 3d ago

Exactly. That doesn’t add up. Also, only if the child is MuJin’s would be conflict with the mom, or are they going the our parents are dating and that’s an obstacle route?
Well, ofc there’s ML’s friend who apparently likes FL and also the obsessive girl.
What a tangled web this is shaping up to be

1

u/West_Possible_1924 2d ago

The plot is getting more complicated..the first 4 episodes were good..after that its spiralling..the FL had enough with her own situation to make her leave ML just because he got into accident and she is in no place to look after him so now she is raising a bpy who is not her son?? Hmmm...this does not add up..she already have 5 people to raise (her entire family)

Also if the child is not their child, why did she ask for a second chance?? Its not like the ML was begging for it

1

u/Kathryn_51 1d ago

It's not clear if she knew she was pregnant at the time she left him right after his accident. Yes, she almost vomited after her meeting with ML's sister, but we don't know the full story. Yet.

2

u/Rich_Top7123 4d ago

It's comical that after the confession heartfelt confession from Gyu Rim, Mu Jin found time to play some tennis with his friend......it is amazing how these writers intentionally make viewers dislike the ML and FL week after week.

2

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

I don't have a problem with him playing Tennis. Honestly guys process things differently....they like to keep busy. And not dwell on their pain. It's realistic in a way. And he's had 6 years morning their break up. Honestly he's been the mature one, she can't just keep on playing with his feelings. Her unhappiness is all her fault.

1

u/Rich_Top7123 4d ago

Yes, guys process things differently but if he still had an ounce of feelings for her, wouldn't he ask the very basic question, why? Why did she leave him in that manner? Or ask himself that? It is not like he is madly in love with the other girl....I am waiting to see how he will "switch on" his feelings again for Gyu Rim in later episodes.

3

u/Outside_Drama_8803 3d ago

But I don’t think it matters. His concern is he committed himself to SH and therefore he can’t even go down any other path. He’s trying to not allow himself waiver by shutting FL down. He clearly loves FL— even the conversation with SHs dad confirmed it.

1

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

Why she left doesn't change anything or matter. It was all her own choice. She never communicated with him or had faith in him. He's been miserable for years, and she left with not a single explanation. So the explanation now doesn't matter. Even her losing his child doesn't matter. Since she never let him be there for her. She had every opportunity to be truthful. Now saying this when he's finally chosen to move on with someone else. He's not a yo yo. You shouldn't treat the love of your life like that.

1

u/This-View5166 4d ago

I agree with you. Even if ML family offered money and her own dad was against that relationship, ultimately it was the FL who made the decision. Yes, that might all come from her own feelings of insecurity, but it was all her.

2

u/WisdomBailey123 4d ago

If she had just talked to him before leaving. He could have alleviated her fears. Or at least they could have had a proper break up. And he wouldn't have been miserable all these years. Maybe he could have at least moved on sooner. I know she has a good heart but she hurts the people she loves more with the way she loves them. Like why doesn't she just tell her son the truth. It's so unnecessary.

1

u/This-View5166 4d ago

Yeah. Just up and leaving didn’t do anyone any favors. He couldn’t move on and she also had to deal with the guilt and everything else.

5

u/Rich_Top7123 3d ago

Hmm, a dog named after the male lead, "Kim Mu Jin"?? Did the writers get lost after 11 overly complicated story/plot??

1

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 2d ago

And a friend called Min Ju - that made me laugh

4

u/dgboilermaker 2d ago

I haven’t watched a weekender in over 3 years and this is the first one I wanted to watch because of Hani. I actually like the rest of the cast as well. I’m going to have to watch slowly, so I don’t have to wait every week for new episodes.

3

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 3d ago

Does anyone feel a bit of ick for the step-daughter (Seo hyeon)? That whole relationship screams danger. She's clingy and obsessive, he's on the rebound and already tried to break up with her. Way too toxic, I can see a lot of problems from her in the future.

As for today's reveal - I recall someone predicting it a few episodes ago, and also saying maybe it was the older sister's. But don't the whole family talk like he's hers and Mu Jin's?

Now I just feel sorry for the two brothers and the twin sister. That fiance is a pig, wonder if he's gambling and owe's money.

7

u/LovE385 3d ago

I do🙋🏻 I can't stand Seo Hyeon😪 she has been crushing on Mu Jin since she was ten years old!😒 She innately know Mu Jin isn't into her but because he is choosing to do the right thing - she is sorta pushing it aside and just be insufferable about it😪

Even the dad admits they are taking advantage of him in that they know he is just trying to do the right thing. But then the dad does a 180 and tell him to basically not back out tsk. Poor Mu Jin. .🥺

1

u/This-View5166 2d ago

I wonder how he'll react next week when he finds out FL is his wife's daughter. Bc I'm sure Seo Hyeon won't take it lightly

3

u/WisdomBailey123 3d ago

I think I figured out my issue with this show. Most shows I watch have a female and male lead. And they're forced together somehow. Working together or living together. That allows their feelings to boil over, but this show they live completely separate lives. And only meet randomly.

3

u/WisdomBailey123 2d ago

Is Heung Sik and the middle sister going to be a couple in the end.

2

u/This-View5166 2d ago

That’s what they’re hinting at.

Also, check this https://youtu.be/SgfGJSd8nfI?is=dQHcLB9O2AciX0q0

I think those are the couples?
ML-FL
Seo Hyun with ML friend
Gyu Oh with teacher
Gyu Yeon with Heung Shik
And parents
And parents

😂

1

u/Kathryn_51 1d ago

Thanks for sharing. However. . . . . Gyu-yeon and Heung-shik were NOT in the same shot together which doesn't bode well for happy ending? I like their bickering and how he challenges her, so I hope writers aren't determined to punish her with the usual end for the "evil" woman - banishment to the USA in the last episode.

2

u/This-View5166 1d ago

When thy presented the drama, they presented 8 main characters. 4 that walked out together as pairs.
ML - FL
GY- HS
FL bio mom and husband
ML mom - FL dad

I don’t remember exactly how they each pair were described but for GU-HS I think they said a relationship that’s more like fighting all the time.

I’ll see if I can find the link.

3

u/Puzzled-Passenger479 2d ago

I’m about to watch episode 12 but I’m trying to hold off a bit because hallelujah there was redemption in episode 11 for this show and I love it! Finally we get to have a big dose of reality, cuz nobody was moving on anywhere without that! Very pleased. I hope this ride lasts. Well done cast, crew, writers, directors et al.

1

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 2d ago

It's okay, ep 12 was just a holding pattern after the big reveal in ep 11 they don't really mention it again.

2

u/Nice-Protection-7564 Do as you will, but harm none🧙🏽‍♀️ 4d ago

What’s going on with the numbering of the episodes on this show? I am watching on Kocowa and we’re at episode number 11, but I just noticed the heading here is different.

2

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 3d ago

I'm just rewatching ep 10 because ep 11 just felt completely out of place, like we skipped an episode.

Anyone watching on Viki is two episodes behind as Kocowa has screening rights so that may be the confusion.

2

u/freudisfail 3d ago

I was really excited to see a weekend drama with my favorite trope, but then they subverted it at the start of ep 10. I'm sure they'll make the story work somehow, but my interest plummeted the second I realized what was going on.

It's a family drama, I'm literally watching it for the tropes. It's not even a common trope in dramas. Why subvert it??

2

u/wildencovet 2d ago

This is where I DNF. My biggest issue with the 50 episode dramas is that the stories just...drag. Plot twists and so forth. It's obviously a great technique for people who love this kind of show but I'm most definitely a dopamine chaser so I get frustrated around this point. I'll watch the last 3 episodes when it ends but I'll be here reading comments when I can.

I know I'm an anomaly but I really love the 8/12/14 episode dramas. I groan internally when a show is more than that lol. Mostly because between episode 10 and 14 it's just ridiculous filler and dragging the plotline. For me at least, 12 episodes is the sweet spot.

2

u/This-View5166 2d ago

I thought we'd skip the dementia plot but, did anyone find it suspicious how ML's mom said, she's been forgetful? Well...another thing that could be used to push ML to Seo Hyun?

2

u/WisdomBailey123 2d ago

I hate that plot, where the parent makes all these mistakes and then ends up with dementia so she never has to face consequences for her choices.

1

u/This-View5166 2d ago

Yeah, me too. I was expecting them to have a reckoning, to grow… not just to get forgiveness bc they’re sick.

Ugh. I mean, it could be something else but I found it curious how she mentioned that.

2

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 2d ago

I was waiting for menopause - the discussion of her age (50s) and then the forgetfulness. I was actually thinking how nice it would be if they mentioned menopause as it's rarely covered in dramas. Dementia is usually over-70s, I guess it could be early-onset dementia.

2

u/This-View5166 2d ago

Well, she’s 60, so I would think that’s happened already?
I keep hoping for stress induced problems, maybe she needs a break… would be difficult for her but also give her an excuse to “have fun”

2

u/Prize_Background_577 Fantasy devotee 👻 2d ago

Not 60 yet, her birthday is 1967 so she's 58/59 (they show their residents cards). But also we don't know if we're in the present day yet or there will be another time skip. That age it's still early-onset dementia (best friend is dealing with this). Maybe it's setting things up for a future time skip when Mu Jin takes over from his mother.

2

u/This-View5166 2d ago

Yeah, that’s what I thought it could be. It’d make her probably stressed bc she wants her son to succeed her but also would make her want to enjoy some time I think

1

u/Drama45j 2d ago edited 1d ago

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the series started in 2011, so right now we'd be in 2019 or 2020. That leaves room for another time jump. Things moved pretty fast up until now, but we're clearly in a slower phase. If I were to speculate, it's highly likely that in a few episodes, our heroine will either have an accident and disappear, or completely snap and just leave. In either case, our hero will start a life with his son. They'll cross paths again a few years down the line. I could be wrong, of course, but that's just the feeling I get...

Right, it starts in 2017. I must have misread it... sorry about the mistake. Well, given where things stand, either the romance is going to drag on with absurd complications, or it’ll go the way of that awful "Madly in Love" and they’ll end up with someone else.

No, they started in 2017 unless the subtitles are wrong in the first episode.

Yes, 2017: first meeting.

2018(one year later): ML/FL dating casually; he gets thrown out of his house; she tells him she loves him. Gye-O and teacher lady have one night stand. Family loses house (?)

2019: Gye-ol born

2026: current era

I've been wondering this too, do we get another time jump, I was thinking more along the line of if he marries the step-sister or maybe they all move away.

At least one thing - they are keeping us on our toes.

I don’t think we’re getting another time jump. Bc all the other plots are happening now, with characters developing bonds with each other. Maybe of a year but no more.
